Sorry - still trying to fix that goddam PC problem, it's a nightmare!
Yesterday - Tied to the desk all day so really didn't notice too much - think that it was relatively clear most of the day. It did get a bit hot and sticky in the pm. It rained in the night.
Today - A really red sky at dawn - not a good omen! Generally clear sky over Cabarete very early but the clouds out at sea and to the East were fast rollong in. just had some loud thunder at around 09.00am therefore I expect a dull day with perhaps some rain? Right now it's dull and overcast with some brighter sky out to sea.

Yesterday - It poured with rain on the road to Sosua early in the morning but here in Cabarete it did remain dry. The weather cleared later in the day and we saw some sun. We did get rain later in the evening and a little bit in the night.

Today - Bright and sunny after dawn with some high wispy white clouds in the sky. Looks like a nice day?

Yesterday - Well, it did remain a nice day although we did have a single bout of thunder at one stage.

Today - A nice day - warm and sunny so far. Relatively clear skies and the sun is out.
Sea is calm with little to no shore break.

Yesterday - Remained hot and sunny, quite sticky too. It was nice if you could sit in the breeze.
Today - Not a clear dawn but very hazy start to the day. It's a clear sky but there is that thickness in the air.
Sea is calm with little shore break.

Sunday 04.09.05 @ 07.00am

Yesterday - A very hot and sticky day! Overcast in the afternoon around Cabarete with long periods of thunder. We did get some rain late in the afternoon and into the early evening but in general only big drops of rain, not heavy rain.
Today - clear blue sky, nice warm sun, not much breeze yet.
Sea is flat calm.

Yesterday - A very nice day, not quite so sticky as the last few days. A little bit overcast around dusk but it did stay dry.
Today - A nice dawn with clear blue skies and an early sun.
Sea is calm again with the larger shore breaks along Bozo Beach.

Yesterday - A nice clear day but it remained very hot and sticky. Some overcast skies to the SE and some lightning over the hills later in the afternoon.
Today - Another bright and clear dawn, sunny already and quite warm again.
Sea is relatively calm.

Yesterday - Clear skies, hot sun, lovely day. Some breeze helped to make it feel a bit cooler but generally hot and sticky. A nice sunset!
Today - Clear blue sky with only a very few high wispy clouds. Already warming up at 07.00am!
Sea has some surf out on the reef with variable shore breaks along the bay and Bozo Beach, (anything from 3 to 6 feet in places).

Friday 09.09.05 @ 06.50am

Yesterday - The day remained nice until later in the afterrnoon when we experienced more of that thundery stuff over the hills. It actually looked as if it might rain but we were spared here in Cabarete. The wind did pick up but was quite gusty so not ideal for the sailors out there.
Today - Dawn with a rather overcast sky and some black clouds out to the east. A bit of a breeze along the beach and definitely feeling a lot cooler. It has brightened up now at 08.40am and the sun is out, sort of, but still some high cloud up there.
Sea is a bit rougher today, a much higher tide than recently and plenty of weed up on the beach. Looks like some nice surf out there on the reef. Up to 6 feet of shore break along the bay, less along Bozo Beach today.

Yesterday - The wind came up during the day which pleased the windsurfers for a bit. The sky never really cleared totally but it was a pleasant day.
Today - Hazy start to the morning but bright enough.
Sea is not calm but not rough either - some shore break up to 5 feet in places.

Yesterday - The day remained nice and then the wind picked up so we had a lot of happy windsurfers and kiteboarders.
In the night it was quite thundery out to sea.
Today - Awoke to more thunder out over the ocean and a rather dull sky. it looks like it could rain but the darker clouds have gone now and we're left with dull overcast skies.
Sea is relatively calm today.

Sorry, bin away again! Now me back for a few days after suffering the daily downpours and thunderstorms in Santo Domingo every afternoon for the past week!
Yesterday - Drove over the mountains via Moca and hit the rains in Palo Blanco but it was clear in Cabarete when we arrived. Pleasant afternoon and evening even if a bit sticky and warm, some breeze on the beach later which was nice.
Today - clear skies early, lots of blue bits, very little cloud. Nice and sunny now at 09.30am so could be a good day. Also think that we are due a bit of rain soon?
Sea is up a bit but with only a 3 to 6 feet shore break along the bay and Bozo Beach.

Sorry, late - got tied up with stuff!
Seems like I brought the rain with me from the south coast but the garden needed it anyway?
Yesterday - Nice day until later in the afternoon and then we had the thunder and lightning and heaps of heavy rain! Dried up a bit towards late evening.
Today - Nice dawn and lovely beach weather earlier. Now we're getting thunder and overcast skies again at 4.00pm. Looks like it could rain?
Sea was reasonable but seems to be much higher up the beach than it has been for some time now.
JUST CRAPPED OURSELVES - THE BIGGEST, LOUDEST CLAP OF THUNDER YOU'VE EVER HEARD ALONG WITH HUGE BOLTS OF LIGHTNING RIGHT OVER THE HOUSE!!! 4.20PM

Yesterday - Nice enough day until the afternoon and early evening when it just bucketed down with rain. Really loud thunder and tons of lightning. The lightning was impressive! The thunder was loud and scarey!
Today - A nice clear dawn with the usual early morning sun. Clear skies too.
Sea is relatively calm with 2-3 feet of shorebreak in general.

Yesterday - Hot and sticky but no rain or thunder!
Today - Nice dawn with some clouds out over the sea. Bright enough start to the day. Sun is up but still some clouds over Sabaneta and the hills behind Cabarete.
Sea is a bit churned up with disorganised wave patterns. Some surf out on the reef. Shore break 2-5 feet in places. Rumour has it that Encuentro will be good today?

A 'quickie' for Chris!
Did we bring all this crappy rain and squalls with us?
Last 2 days have been wet with some good tropical downpours, high winds and heavy seas.
Today, and through the night, nothing much has changed.
Heavy rain showers, overcast skies and the wind is still up. Have not walked the beach today but I can guarantee that the sea is quite rough. Windsurfers out there yesterday enjoying some really strong winds! Beach is changing with sand erosion, large waves and surf halfway up the beach.
Looks like the sun is trying this morning but the wind will probably bring in more rain???................

This thread has stalled out so I'll try to bring it back to life.
Yesterday started with rain but turned into the only sunny day in the last week.
Today it is raining again (it must rain here almost every day - not the place to come for sun as we have been here 9 days and had all day rain six days and some rain every day - it does make for great beer drinking weather thou)
It does look as if it might clear up some this afternoon. :pirate:
