Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm............
I wonder why you're unaffected.
Just about everybody I talk to around here, has the same problem.
And I tried those DNS numbers to no avail.
Hopefully, Robert will find something out, maybe even get it fixed.
-Do you live in Higuey ?You may be on two different DSLAM servers... that could explain things.
Lucky you.-Do you live in Higuey ?
If so, that might explain why you are unaffected (like me, in Las Terrenas)...
DR1's OK right now, but I was trying to load a few tiny pix into Hotmail, a job that would normally take 1 minute, and it took more than 5 and two tries.Do you still have problems ? It's working perfect for me now ( in central Sosua) I can access any site I want, and the speed is okay. Since it has been raining today, I have watched a lot of soccer and other television on my computer in perfect quality.
Same here.I am still having a problem connecting to websites, especially Yahoo and some municipal ones in Florida even though my Vonage speed test shows I'm operating at 1.3Mb down. Someone was talking about using a proxy server or something - how is that done?
I was sooooo hoping it would make a difference, but alas, same problems as before, right here trying to load DR1 pages...........but I did change my DNS settings to 4.2.2.2. and 4.2.2.3.......

Did you say, "reset"?I changed the settings in the router to those DNS settings and changed to "Static" IP.....and changed my MTU to 1492 (whatever that is??!). I then went to each computer and removed any setting that were in the tcp/ip settings and checked the automatic boxes........
Then I reset the router and the modem and the computers and retarted them.
Did you say, "reset"?
Wouldn't that put the default settings back in and wipe out the other settings you mentioned above?
