Yes they do take calls in rotation but you can always ask for your 'amigo' XXXX & since people assume it's a personal call & thus far more important than the old work stuff, they will try & get him for you. Works everywhere, not just Codetel. You'd be surprised how many 'amigos' we have in service industry offices.............:laugh: And if you get someone you don't know, ask the name and then 'Oh JUAN! How are you?' like old buddies, 'And the family?..........' You'll get given quite a lot of info about children etc. Never ask 'how're the kids?' first in case he hasn't got any & then realises you don't know him. 
It really does work everywhere - no-one is going to let on they don't know Senor Bad Boy because that would be culturally atypical............and by the end of the conversation they will know you. Might take a bit longer on the phone but there's a fair chance you'll get the service you want a lot quicker.
