I too am curious to see what is going to but I will resist. Since I suspected long lines it's like I would be shopping anyway. Too bad Meems can't be our part time eye in the sky at pandemonium central
Sorry, not trying to pick on you but I think you missed the larger point.
Get Off My Lawn Hour
I went to the Supermercado Nacional during the old farts hour between 7 and 8 AM today.
We owned that bitch.
If that was Santiago, we must have passed each other in the aisles empty of customers.
The article says the government was simply authorized to limit movement aka shelter in place.
It says they will announce something at 2pm.
Only stupid and/or drugged ladrones kill their host. PN and CESTUR do not like that, and make good effort hunting them down.
I alluded to this yesterday and based on discussions I have had regrading my own upcoming reservations later this month at this resort and the on the ground information being provided to me by friends who have been staying at the resort since January, I feel comfortable raising this from an unsubstantiated rumor to a likely unfolding scenario.
At Lifestyles Cofresi, no new reservations are currently being accepted except those made for 90 days or more into the future. The number of guests on the property has dropped dramatically over the last week. The term ghost town was used. Guest have been asked to leave as quickly as they can. It has been suggested that remaining guests could in the near future receive notice to vacate the property within 48. Staffing levels are being reduced daily.
I have no information about operations at Lifestyles Cabarete.
I just checked the American Airlines site. All flights out of the DR to MIA have been canceled.
Supermercado Nacional has 2 entrances.
They had one closed off and the guard would manually let customers out.
Entry was restricted to the main entrance only between 7 and 8 am.
After 8 am I imagine they would then activate the 2nd entrance.
