I too am curious to see what is going to but I will resist. Since I suspected long lines it's like I would be shopping anyway. Too bad Meems can't be our part time eye in the sky at pandemonium central

Sorry, not trying to pick on you but I think you missed the larger point.

No, I did not miss the larger point!

It was an ESSENTIAL trip.

Next time perhaps I should clear it with you and explain all the details as to why and hope I get your approval to help someone in need.

The handicapped person involved also has not had city water for days, at no fault of her own.

Do you need more details?

If that was Santiago, we must have passed each other in the aisles empty of customers.
I was the white hair dude chasing after my wife who had her own cart.

You are an adult you can make your own decisions. This wasn't personal, please don't take it as such.

I was at Playero this morning about 8:30. Everything normal and not many shoppers.

The article says the government was simply authorized to limit movement aka shelter in place.

It says they will announce something at 2pm.

The article stated the Diputados have to meet and approve the emergency powers at 2 PM.
Did not see anything about additional statements being made on what additional actions will be taken.

I alluded to this yesterday and based on discussions I have had regrading my own upcoming reservations later this month at this resort and the on the ground information being provided to me by friends who have been staying at the resort since January, I feel comfortable raising this from an unsubstantiated rumor to a likely unfolding scenario.

At Lifestyles Cofresi, no new reservations are currently being accepted except those made for 90 days or more into the future. The number of guests on the property has dropped dramatically over the last week. The term ghost town was used. Guest have been asked to leave as quickly as they can. It has been suggested that remaining guests could in the near future receive notice to vacate the property within 48. Staffing levels are being reduced daily.

I have no information about operations at Lifestyles Cabarete.

S$itstyle Seems they are evacuating as we speak. A group of people outside, employees hanging around. Passed there to pickup my packet just arrived from US to EPS. Nearly hit a youngster wirring around in the streat while talking into cellphone, her back against trafficc. Good reflexes and brakes saved my a$$

Not leaving outside for some days. I might have used up my luck for a while.

A bus outside Villa Taina too.

I just checked the American Airlines site. All flights out of the DR to MIA have been canceled.

It has been 2 days now that the " find my flights " thingy where you use locator, name and surname to find your reservations has been down :(
Impossible to get AA on the phone either......

Plenty of food here and the majority are Christian and good-natured people, I'd rather be here than in the states. Nothing is going to happen here to warrant getting hysterical about.

The virus is real but it's being used as the table that gets kicked over to distract you from the global fiat Ponzi collapsing. Hunker down for the reset, be nice to your neighbors and use common sense. In any event, I enjoy reading the posts and appreciate having a source for local news.

Supermercado Nacional has 2 entrances.

They had one closed off and the guard would manually let customers out.

Entry was restricted to the main entrance only between 7 and 8 am.
After 8 am I imagine they would then activate the 2nd entrance.

There's only one entrance at SN on Máximo Gómez in the capital. There was a guard controlling the door. I was ready to flash my cedula but he barely glanced at me and opened the door,

I guess what I see in the mirror and what he saw are two different things.

wouldn't it be great if the cases were identified as to where these people were when the were confirmed to have the covid
