Sputnik V is the best candidate for the DR. It has been used since an early time over all others and has shown it continuously protects the ones vaccinated with it in Russia.
It’s developed using a secured long established vaccine 💉 adenovirus vector, much like all vaccines in our modern history. They introduce no changes into our DNA and more importantly, no extreme side effects like others to date.
It was developed at a Nobel laureates lab in Russia. Which has provided excellent emergency vaccines before of world importance, like Ebola and others.
You don’t need the two shots, as one shot alone can provide protection for at least 4 months. This is enough time to eliminate the hot zones and recurring infection in large populations.
After all the incubation period of Covid-19 is less than one month and only 6 days in the majority of cases.
Once the pandemic is eliminated locally, it’s only a matter of a strict inbound arrivals monitoring program (vaccinated passports) to keep any new breakout from taking root in the country.
Sputnik V is the ideal candidate based on this and based on mixing the jabs with others on a later term, to improve the odds.
Period.
Surprised to see you trusting a Russian vaccine that was given to the population without trials.
The vaccines themselves are not all that difficult to design and produce.
What takes time and money is the trials to ensure the safety of the vaccine.
From what I read Russia is currently going through a gigantic spike in Coronavirus cases and is a long way from anything like any local elimination of the pandemic
It is hard to get accurate information out of Russia since there is no free press and its a totalitarian regime.
From what I recall the DR has placed a deposit on the AZ vaccine which went through safety trials.
Since dying from the disease is unlikely it is worth being careful about vaccine choices.
Russia has proven it is adept at poisoning political rivals and ex spies but I would not trust any vaccine with a history of lab development and zero evidence of safety trials.
Even with extensive safety trials the tested vaccines still show surprising sides in hyper allergic persons.
What a vaccine would do to a pregnant women, for example, is still unknown.
I trust vaccines that are trialed.
I get a flu shot yearly and am extremely health conscious.
I would take my chances with the virus before I would trust a Russian or a Chinese vaccine.
Everyone is different and hopefully there will be choices.
