Unfortunately they use a tweezer device to rip them right out! Fortunately they were quite small, nothing that an ice cream couldn't fix!

Can someone tell me how to get a marbete? I?m in the U.S.A now, but I?ll be back in Cabarete in January. I would hate to have my car impounded the first time I drive into town.

Go to a DGII office with a copy of your matricula and pay the fee plus a 600 peso fine and you're good.

If you drive without the marbet and get caught they will impound the car and it's a lot more money to get the car out as well.
