That's something that i will never eat.
I second that!! I was born and raised in DR, and had chivo as a kid. Never will I eat chivo, again!!!
Maybe is because I associate it with being smacked at the lunch table (by my very Dominican mom) for not eating it whenever she made it!!
Man, people are missin out!!! More for me![]()
I like yucca, but an't get my husband to eat it. Also, I can't even get him to try habichuelas con dulce...he refuses to even taste them.
You don't know what you are missing. I love a nice thick steak cooked medium rare.
A lot of Dominicans can't cook beef. It's always like a piece of leather!
A decent steak house will not cook a steak well done. That is ruining the meat.

Back to Dominican recipes, my husband is always asking me why I don't cook Dominican food and I just never know what to cook. Do you guys eat primarily Dominican food?
Very true.
That is why I only order seafood in restaurants.
No blood for me.
No Dominican in their right mind will eat thick steak cooked medium rare.
The way Dominican prepare steaks, it's the best way to cook it, well, well done. I guess those Dominican that you know that cooked the steak like a piece of leather buy the cheapest old steak they can fine, i won't eat something that feel like leather in my mouth.
I am Puerto Rican. Many of the Dominican dishes I have eaten have the same flavor as Puerto Rican.
Ex. Your basic rice, beans, stewed chicken, and totones or maduros.
No blood for me either, last time i check we're not vampires.
One thing i admired about my Dominican culture is that we eat our food well done, well cooked. We're human, only animals eat raw food or medium done food.
Except fish!!!!
Sushi and civiche, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
