DR is beautiful but sometimes I feel like it is a third world country …..
So my mother an elderly woman on her late 70s had to wait 30 minutes standing at the Santiago airport while waiting to get check in for entry ( passport stamp booth ) now on top of that of she has lower back problems which makes it even worst …. But on top of all that when she politely ask why they took half hour to get her passport stamp the Migracion agent told her that it’s “ NORMAL” cause their system take longer with some people than others , NO explanation why it took so long , no apologies , no update on what’s going on as she waited standing for 30 minutes while the agent look at the computer , no details on what the issue was …IF the system was down or if she was new or if the was an issue cause she said she will stay for 60 days , or anything she would have being happy with that answer , BUT all they did was say “ lady please keep it moving and have a nice day “ ….. now my mother feet are swollen and her lower back hurting her 🤦♂️,
Which brings me to todays question ****Has any of y’all foreigners and viajeros ever experienced long wait to get your passport stamp at arrival customs/ Migracion booth ? OR has anyone experienced a Not So good treatment at Check in booth ( Passport stamp booth) AT arrival to DR ?
Thanks
