i just don't get the rushing out of the house...

Were you in Santiago during the last big quake? Not the one that destroyed PAP but the one before that that scared the bejeezus out of most of Santiago?

It was a traumatic experience for a lot of people, including me, (mostly because I was in a tall apartment building at the time) and I think little tremors bring back some of that panic for a lot of people.

Just felt the house shake a little bit for a couple seconds, my backside estimates that it was a 3 or a 4, no biggie, could have been bigger somewhere else though.

I felt that one...never felt any of the other ones since january....but I sure didn't like the feeling of the ground moving...my dog was barking!

btw, i can see there were 66 shakes in DR/PR area in the last week. is that a bad sign? i know that earth shakes here a lot...

Wow! I thought I was imagining things! However, my computer clock was saying 10:54 and I did write it down just in case there were reports of an earthquake later.
This one felt differently than the Haiti quake though and it was very brief.
I am in Cabarete.
