It will be back about two hours after their two hour lunch.
True Story - two EdeNorte trucks were up near my house 4 days ago . One a large man-bucket truck.
To fix electrical lines or cut back limbs you ask?
No they were picking fruit high up above where the Haitians can't reach. You think when the power is out so often this is proper use of a line crew?
Power came back on about 4:30 AM. The fruit pickers were quicker than normal.
It was off for less than two hours last night, but there seems to be pattern developing of failures at night in the Cabarete/Sosua region.
Yes, this does seem to happen frequently at night. It went off and back on again about three times in those two hours last night. For over 6 months now, they have been frequently working on the power lines just in that short section from Janet's east to about the Texaco station. It's hard to imagine how they can be spending so much time on that short stretch(?).
And this to look forward to tomorrow, unless they are doing tomorrow's work today, nah, can't be;

Not sure what time the power went out in Sosua, but it was before 3am and it's still out now. Edenorte can't handle a few drops of rain? Why is all this maintenance being done if they can't supply its customers with proper service. My batteries are at 35%. They will start boiling soon.
For me, I'm guessing there was a power spike overnight. One of the lines to mi casa is not working so I'm guessing a circuit breaker on a neighborhood pole has blown again when the power failed overnight in Sosua. Hoping any damage from the coming storm will not result in a multiday outage. The demonstrated fragility of the "system" in my area is always a concern when it is raining, windy or during an ice-storm. 
Lots of overgrown branches and other causes regularly short out this neighborhood. Good luck all in the coming days.
