I just googled, and got the following:

"There were 22 fatal dog attacks in the U.S. in 2004"

"there were only 4 fatal shark attacks in the entire world in 2005"


How about a shark for a pet? ;-)

Don't hate on dogs.......... I love them and those fatal dog attacks were because the owners would tie them up and teach them to be mean. Not all dogs are mean! and are going to attach. My friend has a pitbull and her dog is great. Don't go by everything you watch on the news or you'll go crazy.

Living in Florida for many years and most of my buddies have pit bulls, I have never seen any of their dogs ... any family member or an outsider.

Now I have seen over 25 years pit bulls raised for fighting, being raised in 4x4 cage with gunpowder administered with their food rations.

But let me say I have never seen a bad pit..... in less mistreated or due to inbreeding which is not the breed's fault by any means.


I'm just a Boxer lover.;) ;)

What does that tell you?? Maybe people shouldn't chain Pitbulls?? And I definately wouldn't approach a pitbull I hadn't been 'introduced' to by the owner ... other than that? Not much ...

Le'me help you out here Amy... this is the conclusion of those long lists that you posted... ;)

"If certain breeds (i.e. Pit bulls, Rottweilers) were inherently dangerous or vicious then the emergence of millions of these dogs into the population would be reflected in a dramatic increase in the number of fatalities per year.
This is not the case, as the number of fatal dog attacks per year has remained rather consistent over the last 40 years.
In 1955 there were 10 fatal dog attacks in the U.S.
In 1995 there were 13 fatal dog attacks in the U.S."
