There was a young man with her who turned himself in and is cooperating with the police.News reports say someone stayed with her at the beach, did not really say if it was someone from the group she was traveling with.
Well he probably wasn’t Dominican or Haitian because neither would have turned themselves in. They would have been in Dajabon by now. There was a young man with her who turned himself in and is cooperating with the police.
Typical, no one ever releases the origin or race of the suspects anymore, no matter where in the world the event takes place.![]()
Young man seen swimming with missing Pitt student in Punta Cana is questioned by police: report
Konanki and the man were seen swimming together at the beach near Riu Republica Resort sometime before she was last spotted there going for a walk just after 4 a.m. on March 6.nypost.com
I like to use “ideation” or “investigative thinking”speculation
[“She went to the beach on March 6 early morning around 4 a.m. with friends and some other guys they met at the resort. After that, her friends came back after some time and my daughter did not come back, did not show up from the beach,” her father said.]Eventually it made to CNN
Whenever that happens, you can be about 99% certain that it wasn't a white guy.Typical, no one ever releases the origin or race of the suspects anymore, no matter where in the world the event takes place.
At this point, is there any value in releasing that info? If they police actually were to detain someone as a suspect, that would be different. Right now that does not seem to be the case.Typical, no one ever releases the origin or race of the suspects anymore, no matter where in the world the event takes place.
Never happen because it creates negative publicity. The government and the resorts cover up sexual assaults, food poisoning deaths, tainted alcoholic products, etc. Wave conditions are a factor but hidden undertow seems to be the main issue. Some resorts post warning flags on the beach when the winds create strong wave conditions. The bare minimum. You still get people who think they know better heading into the water during dangerous conditions. I’ve witnessed it at many resort beaches. I’m surprised there aren’t more drownings.Same exact thing happened to one of my best friends back in November 2021,tho it was in Cabarete not Punta Cana..
and YES, he made the list of "missing" foreigners who landed on DR1 only to turn up dead a few days later. They found his body about a mile from where he was last seen taking a dip. Sucks.
I really think this government needs to start letting tourist know (since tourism is their bread and butter) just how dangerous some of these beautiful beaches really are.
