Great DR1 Reunion in Sosua

Hillbilly is not the only one who got the worst of the mother nature, I also got screwed. A night before the reunion, I was with jazz and friends. Then when I was going back home I hit a huge pothole that not only distroyed my tire but bent my aluminum alloy and damaged my drive shaft. I am sure the shocks are also damaged on the right side.
You got to watch out for the potholes at night because sometimes its impossible to see them with head-on traffic from the front with hi-beams on and if its raining then you have no hope as the pothole gets filled with water and you will never see it coming.
I also had a wonderful time and loved the steak. It was nice to have met SJH and his lovely wife and our favorite celebrity "ken Star" ("star" for being the celebrity). he is a nice person as I had expected and no he doesn't seem like a librarian, instead he looks like someone who would interview you in the US embassy for your visa application.
Escott was a wonderful host and found time to talk to everyone. What was surprising to know was that I had so many friends among DR1. I mean I thought most disagreed with my views and some even hated me but I was surprised to know so many people had actually taken the risk in telling me that they actually enjoyed my posts and agreed with my views.
All in all, it was nice to see so many real people in real life.
Lets do it in santiago the next time.

I had a great time, too. Many thanks to Grahame for safe arrival and departure. good thing he has high ground clearance in the jeep for the floods we encountered on the way home. I was so absorbed at the reunion I didn{t notice the downpour throughout the evening. It was wonderful to meet everyone and put faces to friends. I lament not being able to spend more time with some of you. AZb it would have been nice to talk, who cares if we are of different religion... you seem like a nice guy. I would insert a couple of smilies here but I am on a Spanish keyboard, ai ai ai! And to Jazzcom, thanks for being the organizer. You are a great guy, not fat or ugly or loud, just put in your tagline 'I talk like I am from New Yawk' insert other smiley here!!! The Mainers,how cool that you guys know exactly where I grew up. Am looking forward to some big togue pix and you are invited to visit West Musquash with me and my hub after we settle there again, si Dios quiere. Hillbilly, I had to resist throwing my arms around you again as you went to leave. Your soul speaks volumes to me and I hope we can have lunch, if not this trip than surely the next. Christa, you are a jewel. Amber, you radiate warmth and such a great personality! Good luck with Luis Ariel, this too shall pass. I really loved talking to everyone, Ken and Tiberius I am not forgetting you guys either. And to JanH...next time let{s start chatting outside the ladies room, hope to see you again on the island. And to JAN thanks for being my guardian ANGEL...smiley, smiley, smiley. Trina, you and your husband rock. Well, I think I have covered just about everything. Shad, your wife quite frankly is a babe and I can see why you missed her so much. BTW I thought the food was good, it was rather a long wait but I liked that the waitstaff knew my name and kept checking on me. And of course, my condolences about Rocky, seemed like a good dog.

How's about one around the end of the year? Everyone is "giving rave reviews" about the reunion......it sounds like alotta fun, gotta show up for the next one.

Hey man not everyone disagrees with your views, we need different viewpoints on the site, if not it gets boring and people will go elsewhere ..... I wouldn't let it get to my head, it's only net talk, I can't get mad at it, that would be a waste of time....now, are you sure about setting it up in Santiago? Then the word will get out and your beautiful city full of beautiful girls won't be the best-kept secret in DR anymore! Oh the humanity .............Naw just kidding man

I say lets have a santiago reunion in a couple of months when my bud Missing_Dr will be in town. I let Hillbilly take the lead in this event as he is the god father of this city. I will bring lots of food for everyone and entertainment.
As for santiago, its not the best kept secret anymore. Everyone know what we have here. The thing is: if you don't speak spanish and if you are not below 40 and in decent shape, you will not score at all; besides many DR1 men perfer ugly putas. hahahaha. just joking.
Anyway, lets start a new thread on the future santiago reunion.

Meeting Bushbaby (finally) was one of the highlights of my night, I'd wanted to meet him for years, and he was all I expected...great conversationalist.

Amber, thanks for the advice on my children...I'm sure you saved me thousands in later counselling! lol

Probably the best part of my night, though, was being seated across from KenoshaChris and his beautiful other half. You're a beautiful couple...thanks for making our night!

I am so glad I changed my mind and went. Except for today having to stay home and recoup (and deal with Sniffy. She won't let me out of her site. Everytime I sit down shes sitting on top of me). They were way too hard on this old gal. Can't hang like I used to. DAMN!!
