I guess I'm used to the beach hotels, which are much more spacious,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I know what you mean. I was used to the "truly guest friendly hotels" so this was like walking into the Waldorf Astoria of guest friendly hotels.

I do agree you can't beat the location.

Most of the hotels in that 25-35 buck price range will have rooms that are a bit
run down. I have stayed at some real dumps in my life and I guess I got less picky with age. Try staying at Hotel Chic in Monte Cristi. . . .no shower head and no toilet seat!

I have never stayed at Condo Parque or seen the rooms. I have gone there a bunch of times to sit at the bar and use the wifi etc.

Probably the nicest and least run down rooms in the low price range would be Hotel Ripar Bella in gazcue. Their rooms are pretty new so they are less run down. In a few years. . . .who knows;-)

I have never stayed at the Riazor but from what I have heard it is a bit above the level of the 25-35 dollar places and it costs just a bit more.

I sued to stay at casona dorada but have not stayed there in years. They have done a ton of construction so I would think the new rooms would be nice. They have a pool, restaurant and bar/disco on site as well. I have been known to frequent the bar and flirt with the barmaids but since I have not stayed there in years do not know the current pricing etc.

I stayed there two weeks ago and I agree with you assessment. I'd like to add that the rooms are a little run down and can use a face lift.

Next time I'd pick a different hotel.

Can anyone confirm that the Hotel Napolitano allows dominican or any other guests AND DOES NOT CHARGE EXTRA?

Guest fee

A couple of years ago they charged a guest fee of about $20.00. I don't know if this is still the case. When I want to check a hotel on this matter I usually send an email prior to booking. You may want to try that. As I recall the Napolitano had a reputation of constantly changing the guest fee.

Why all the prommotion all of a sudden of this particular hotel, smells a little spammish to me.

So be it, he offered a 10% discount as the owner earlier to DR1.

Certainly more than any other business owner has offered on this site!

Not really, the poster is relatively new to DR1. The hotel is OK. It is guest friendly, in a good location and quite secure. I stayed there once, but now have a place of my own. Not having my own place, I would not hesitate to stay there again..........

Are there any restrictions on the type of guest you can bring in? Is there a charge? Can you bring women in openly or do you have to bride security? Do they collect the womans ID (cedula) and if so will they give it back to her if she robs you or do they require you to authorize her to leave. Do they have safes and if so what type such as wall mounted or at the front desk or little lock boxes? I have heard good things about the people trying to fix up the place.

I've stayed there many many times. As far as bringing guests back to the hotel, the answer is yes. As with just about any hotel, you are welcome to bring back your guests to the hotel with ease. Yes, this hotel does require your guest to provide a ID at the front desk, but this is for the protection of the guest. In the unlikely event that you are robbed or something inappropriate should happen, then the hotel does have a record of who it was and the proper authorities can be summoned.

As far as security, the hotel has individual security lock boxes in every room, where the guests selected their own private combination.

I live in the USA, and visit the DR often, I choose to stay there because of the clean, safe, security, friendly environment, as well as the great location and the good price! - --

I strongly suggest that you email the owner for a reservation.

You'll be glad you did!

I happened to notice 8 of your last 10 posts are reviews for this hotel, don't you think that is a bit overkill?

Perhaps review a restauarant or bar in between your borderline SPAM.

You sell it well so I will add it to my over analytical review list to scrutinize it on TripAdvisor, Yahoo Travel, Virtual Tourist and a dozen or so other sites to see how it stacks up with other people.

I didn't think this would happen but I have to agree with you here.

LOL, I think Dakra has gotten to the point he is doing more harm than good. Dakra has only stayed in three hotels in Santo Domingo so what does he know? Nothing!
