13 hrs to go

I have read with great interest this thread right from the begining, and must say that you all have provided me with lots of smiles! My personal thank you to Planner who has been marvelous. I am travelling with my family (bride, 4 monsters and nanny) tomorrow am, and will post extensive review on my return. I have been all over the world (over 40 countries and counting), and stayed everywhere from a goat shed in Greece (long story, involving Abba karaoke and wayyyy too much ozuo) to the Four Seasons in Nevis so I like to think that I will be fairly honest in my evaluation!
Bye the way, I have tee times booked everyday if anyone fancies a game....

Until then

My wife and I and 2 good friends of ours will be arriving on Feb. 15 and staying for 2 weeks. Anyone from the prairies going down the same time?

I am a former prairie girl. Left about 3 years ago. Let me know when you are coming in, I'll be the one in the lobby with a cold one waiting for you We will be just over 1/2 way through our vacation by the time you get there.:squareeye

I am scheduled to depart from toronto to the hv on jan 21, and I am having a passport nightmare! Just to clarify we have been to the dr before and have alway used our drivers license and birth certificate. So when we booked this year we assumed everything would be the same. BIG MISTAKE! When I went to my travel agent to pay the balance of my trip she enformed me that Yes I do need a passport ( signature requires it not canadian government ) So I sent out all our applications on Dec 8 the office was called and they said that our date would be fine. So today i called passport canada and they informed me that they are not even in the computer system yet.. They have received them though. The lady I spoke with was wonderful and told me not to worrry but how can I not. Once it is one week prior to our travel date they can put a rush on our passports, there will be no more looking forward to hvgb only stressing over whether the passports will come or not!

Has anyone ever had one rushed?

Just finished talking with our travel agent and yes Signature is clarifying that if you have a deluxe type dealie then you will have use of adult pool (swim up) adult restaurant. All standard type people won't beable to use these areas. I wish that I had of known this back in Oct when we booked but we will still party like NORTHERN Albertans do So Look out!!!!

We keep looking on this thread every day. are there any pics of the royal suites avail? there are some amazing pics, but we were not sure if they were from the royal suites or not.

counting the days.

adult restraunt

Just to be clear. Even though adults are not booked in the adult area, they can still go to the restraunt (the seaffood one, when it opens) Correct??? I am sure that is what Planner said about 50 pages back :)

It is only the pool and swim up bar area that we are not allowed into, with the different colored bracelets, correct??

PLease....say that's right.

thanks

I will add some answers to some previous questions. Canadianteen-We are bringing our own pool floaters (not sure about blowing them up yet) fold them up small to not take up alot of luggage space. Other question- Most resorts have seperate kids food selection, Usually small with fries, burgers etc. but most burgers and hot dogs are not that great anyplace. We went to Breezes last year and read bad reviews but was one of the best resorts we have gone to in the dr. and are going again this winter as well as HV. Going in Mar. and believe strongly that most will really enjoy there stay. And hi Planner, have a great day.

Coffee Bar

charm..... how is the coffee bar??? do they serve cappucinos???

Hi Boogiewgirl:

Coffee bar, near the internet cafe, has regular coffee (black, milk, and muchas milk), expresso, double expresso, and hot water, but unfortunately not cappucino. Coffee is fine and may be strong by Canadian standards (depends on the person though). Bringing down a tin of Tim Hortons to brew in your room (if from Canada or the Nern States, eh?) is definitely a good idea!

Kuhny (Working on photos to post .. stay tuned)
