Hi Telnsnell,

The Outback tour was $275 total for 3 adults and one child. 13 and over is classified as an adult. I think it was $75 for adults and $50 for children and it was well worth it. Our tours were definitely the highlights.
The carriage rides or taxis to the market were $5 but we took the carriage ride on a 45 minute tour for $25 and it was excellent. We got to see the other hotels and some scenery that we missed on the buses.
Enjoy!!

Being nasty and catty is not required! You have something specific to say about weddings and THIS hotel put is here. Why on earth would you not go to the wedding thread and help everyone out? OR are you just trying to be difficult?

definitely difficult :ermm:

For Ocean World - book thru your rep at the hotel. She will earn the same commission as anyone else and will have a block of slots available. The price doesnt change for them

I use Isaira tours for other tours. they are very good, competitive and locally run. Isaira Tours - Dominican Republic

I love the Freestyle catamaran trip - all day on the catamaran, snorkelling, swimming, lunch, drinks and music and NO bus ride from your hotel.

Thanks for thinking of the kids. We can touch base closer to the time you come down.

Yes to the meet and greet. Newsflash - I definately cannot keep up with you in the drinking department. Cheap drunk.

To keep this on topic, make sure to buy your rum to take home - do not buy the white bottles as they easily break in suitcases. Buy the darker bottles and wrap them in your dirty laundry to take home. 151 proof rum cannot be taken back home. And it is yucky as well anyway.

I am just stating a fact I am going to go to this thread not one labeled wedding if I'm not getting married, but if I am on this & someone asks a question I may be able to give an answer but not if we keep telling people they can't talk about which team they support or their upcoming wedding. This is an open forum & everyone should be able to talk about what they need infor on whether it is wedding, beach chairs or rooms! Now let all just speak freely.

Hi Planner and everyone out there with good info,

Is the Freestyle catamaran trip appropriate for young kids?
Would you recommend the Dune Buggies for kids (not as drivers but passengers)?

Also, on our last trip to the DR we went on a free horseback riding trip through the hotel...the stable was owned by a lady formerly from Boston or maybe N.Y.
Can anyone give me the name of that business, or another horse back riding excursion that would be good for families?
Thanks.

Bonito70 -Planner doesn't care what people think so dont worry yourself she doesn't.
Ask people to bring you a newspaper and a box of chocolates to your wedding then it will fit in to the threads.

My goodness you guys can get nasty when you choose to be.

Why bite off the hand that feeds the information? Planner has done nothing except answer as many questions as she possibly can - offer her own personal opinions when asked for it, and instead of being appreciative of her help you go throwing stones.

Back to lurking - I don't want to be associated with any of this crap.

Ron - I'm looking forward to your posts. Enjoy the last few days of your trip!

I would say being difficult would be dictating what & what can not be discussed here. Yes it is great that planner gives us info but we all have the right to discuss what pertains to our trips enough said. Have a good one.

I wouldn't feel comfortable taking kids on the catamaran unless they were older because there is alot of drinking & partying & the ocean can be quiet rough.

I'm with Ron (as always hunnybunch ;P)

Stop abusing Planner, she is an awesome source of information!! Please dont abuse her. I would venture to guess that some of yall that are beating her up have (or will) use some of the info she has given. She did not mean to cause hurt feelings... so please grow up.

I'm sorry have I missed something, when did anyone abuse planner??? No-one has abused her.

Royal Suites

Hello all,

The page numbers have shot up in the past 3weeks. I haven't had chance to get caught up on about 70 of them so sorry if this has already been reviewed.

I was just wondering if anyone has stayed in any of the royal suites, the master jacuzzi in particular. If so what are they like????

And It would be great if anyone has any pics of them rooms that they could post.

I'm off on May 7th for my 21st. Just under 15 weeks to go!!!!!! (Not bad considerin it was 13 months when we booked it)

Jen,

Pages 41 and 42 have pics of the royal suites and the jacuzzi at the spa.

For those who are complaining,

Wow, if ever a bunch needed a vacation whew!!!!!!! Lighten up!!!!!!!

Please, there is concern regarding the length of this particular thread and the time it consumes to read it. If seperate threads were made (such as the one titled "Weddings", then it is easier for someone new to get all the pertinent info instead of trying to read through 50 pages. It is just common courtesy, nothing more, nothing less.

Marlie

arguements

My my,aren't we all just arguing like old married couples.I agree if your going to HVGB for a wedding then technicially yes it should be able to be discussed here.I think that however many of us aren't getting married there and another more speciefied thread could be benificial.Although, yes we do often stray from the conversation topic, but it livens things up a bit now doesn't it? I geuss with ottawsenators away we all decided to cause a bit of rucus of our own eh?

17 more sleeps till our trip.I am pacing myself for the hurrendius(sp?) sunburn Im going to get.:ermm:
