This card game is old. I'd repeat what I said about the other freak who wanted to take comments out of context for his own violin, but I got a warning for it. But it's my opinion on people who do this. Shame.

I am playing no cards... I am simply pointing out that some wants us (Dominicans) to be what we are not.
I am just saying we are who we are... Nothing more, nothing less..

I see nowhere that anyone has said anyone wants Doms to be any differently to what they are. What I see is a post dissected out of context deliberately, in a pedantic effort to make a simple comment sour. If all you are saying is that above then why not just say it rather than playing with it. But never mind, it's none of my business, you are big boys you are allowed to play rough:pirate: but no biting!

I can help the OP out.

1. Go find the tightest pants know to man.

2. Go and buy the loudest brightest bootleg looking shirt on the market.
( BTW Do not 4 get to tuck the shirt in those tight a$$ pants)

3. Go out and buy an "aluminum" chain and have it painted platinum or leave it the same color nobody would know the difference.

4 Spray on a gallon of cologne.

5. Go on Duarte and purchase some sunglasses trimed in white.

6. Go to any shoe store stand on Duarte also and purchse some blue loafers to go with the white pants.

Now that you are dressed like 1500RD hit the night. BTW Try to sit in front of the guagua or you run the risk of getting your pants dirty with all the traffic entering and exiting the guagua.

This should be called how to Dress Chopo In 6 Easy Steps

And you save money by not wearing any socks!!!! jejejejeje

Not true... I would assume (since I don't ware shoes like that) that they use the hidden socks.. I don't know how they are called. They have to be more expensive.

This has been asked before and a lot of you seem to forget the OP real intent.

They do not want to pass or pretend to be Dominicans, they simply do not want to draw too much attention to themselves.
It does make a lot of sense not to be targeted.

Thinking back a little, in my early teens in DR I never wore shorts, except when playing basketball or waring swimming trunks.

Yeah, I would have to admit, it doesn't make sense at all. Well, it is what it is... :)

shorts are a little more acceptable now, due to the US influence. But still, I would not ware them simply not to attract attention. Unless you are in resorts and/or tourist areas.

Exactly. This post answers the OP perfectly

Lol.. was this a guide to dressing like a Dominican or an aspiring hip hop artist in NYC..

I wear them, they are just called sneaker socks, they only rise to the brim of the shoe and below the ankle bone.

Yeah those are neat more like lowriders, i can never get the whole tight jeans concept, tight shirt and large shoes (Supras) looks like a space mans outfit.

As someone said, this is the chopo look, guys. Don't scare OP into thinking this is what regular dominicans wear...

If you subtract the chopo you are left with suits and uniforms, not exactly a diverse people when it comes to fashion are they!
My wife has been trying to grow her arse for years so she can wear hipsters as they don't even seem to supply them for micro butt chics. I can never even buy baggy jeans, as they don't seem to supply anything that doesn't define my ball bag and give me arse chaff. God knows how the average McYank shops for clothes.

It really is easy.
Bring two lightweight suits ties unnecessary
Five button down shirts save one for suits because the laundry will eat it up quick
I bring a couple of pairs of linen pants, two pairs of khaki pants and a couple of pairs of levis
Five or six shorts
Assorted T shirts
Shoes for suit, trainers for the gym, flip flops , loafers for semi dress occassions
if youre going pimping go to the mall to the loud obnoxious store and get a teenage or early twentysomething to pick out a shirt. This is your chopo wear

Good to go. If you go out with grown ups wear slacks and shirt or the suit. For the day wear jeans or shorts and a t shirt
and have your chica shirt.

This does seem to be the problem for us who like petite women. I end up shopping with her in the kids section, having 14 and 15 year olds girls nickers held up to me and asked for my opinion, believe me, this is doesn't give off a good impression and is a little uncomfortable to say the least:ermm:
