This whatsapp group chat drains my battery. Too much chit chat. This should have been made DR1 members only or whatever... In a real emergency the battery will run empty before you get any valuable information.
I will leave the group and stick to DR1 until the power goes. Will be back in the group when the sh*t hit the fan here....

From what I see it is continuing on it's NW track. At 2pm it was at 18.5 N latitude. Looks like it will be at 19 by 5pm(?).

first samples of Irma here in el Cortecito in Punta Cana ... certain it's from our Girl... weather out of NNW instead of the usual east .. a nice drink of rain and a healthy breath of wind... and the first of the dead palm fronds falling. Put your Kevlar Helmet on!!! just a very short preview to the full show scheduled for later tonight.

I'd be making arrangements to leave today.
I know four people who decided to "ride it out" in New Orleans when Katrina hit
and all of them we're dead less then 48 hours later. Why gamble on something
so dangerous you can easily avoid ?
