It is unlikely that a woman in her twenties is going to WANT to be with a grandpa, if there is nothing big for her in the picture. So after 5 years, no marriage on the horizon, no hope for a greencard or a visa, she leaves. Yeah, she was being taken care financially and she had furniture, but for her, these must have been perks. A green card must have been her goal.

It wouldn`t surprise me if people where she`s from had been questioning her situation. She also must have had relatives and friends telling her that she was wasting her time with you, banging an old man for five years for "nothing."

There used to be a girl in my town who was living with a 70 something Canadian man. She was the talk of the town, and People used to make fun of her behind her back because he wouldn`t marry her. He was sick and died, and she was known as the girl who lost her youth next to a sick old man "for nothing".

i cannot disagree with a word you said. i bet this girl is probably as hot as a habanero, so the OP had is trophy girl. what does a grandpa have in common with some campesina, who is a third his age?
