Let me spell out to you the typical MO you've just fallen for-

1) To get you to pay more than her time is worth.

2) To get you to pay for time she is spending with someone else.

3) To get you to pay for a responsibility that should fall on her family.

4) To get you confused into thinking good sex is the foundation for a relationship.

5) To get you to make life-altering decisions strictly for the convenience of her upgrading her living conditions.

In a country where casual sex is a cheap commodity, there is no reason that you should fall for any combination of the above listed unless you are an emotional weakling who cannot grasp the concept of what a healthy relationship entails.

If you've decided to make this decision based on a two-week fling, and are willing to accept the ridiculous notion that you are NOT getting played for your money, there is nothing anyone can say that will convince you otherwise.

And the kicker is not that she asked for money for a sick relative, it's that you gave it to her.

You should have spent enough time in Santiago to realize that if you are of a certain social class and will be living there, you will be exposed to a class of woman that would not treat you like a John, and that you do not necessarily have to settle for the first woman who shows you a great time.

If me, typing this post from NYC, have to tell you this yet you could not realize this on your own while in Santiago, then you are beyond anyone's help.

And don't bother posting her photo. Who cares what she looks like? If you think looks make a relationship, you belong back in high school.

It is absolutely ludicrous for anyone mature adult to think this situation has any redeeming value based solely on what she looks like.

You re right, but I want to see anyway. If you find a girl who makes you fall head over heels and there is nothing to say about her personality besides she is pleased with the Internet and a novela, then I d like to see her.

HAHAHA rsg!! yeah she is a cutie and just to clear things up its not like she lives in a shack, I don’t think she’s poor but she isn’t rich either, hell but then again I’m not even sure, her mother passed away so she lives with her aunt and uncle with is an industrial mechanic that lives and work in Haiti the guy owns 2 cars, nothing special an old 185 c class Mercedes and a 1990 something grand Cherokee and owns a 4 bedroom house with a front and back yard nothing too fancy so you guys tell me if that’s poor or dirt poor or whatever, oh an also I know her aunt travel to New York to see her sister from time to time.

This is my first post though I have been a long time observer of the daily news briefs,so hello all. While on an extended holiday being hosted by friends I dated a young girl, mind you this is a rural or semi rural part of rd, and I always paid for everything like nights eating and drinking, when I returned home, having met her family there I, being generous wanted to help them she refused, we kept in touch here and there when I returned home but eventually we stopped no reason just stopped.When we would go out to the discotecas in her town she would say other girls would like the equivalent of "hate" on her but said she didnt care she was just interested in having fun. Moral of the story no girl in RD UK US or anywhere would ask for such a large amount of money( you must use her standard of large not yours) from a guy she really liked I mean genuinely liked its not only bad form it casts them in a bad light. Dominican girls are beautiful and easy to fall for, if you want a good one go to the countryside not as a tourist but with friends

Kreyol and French are his native toungue.

As for the girl in question, she is certainly a looker but it is problematic that she asked for money. I know from the extended family that girls here expect their boyfriends to frequently give them gifts and money but it appears bad that apparently she is telling a lie as the "sick family member" is the number one excuse here.

To the OP, I understand you are going to be studying here in Santiago so I would say based on the circumstances don't start anything serious because there will be plenty of other Dominican girls to get to know and in fact many will be interested in you because are light skinned and apparently well off.

NO NO NO thats not the case, I only have eyes for mi princesa. If she is a Dominican woman with similiar traits as mi princesa then I can learn a lot from her. Bigboy if you are rich then 400 bucks is like 4 dollars for you. That is a plane trip to DR for me plus money left over for some fun in La Capital. I wouldn't give no chic no money for no sick relative unless she took me to see that relative in the hospital, provided me all the paperwork and then gave me some really good loving. But hey we are all different. EVEN then I would maybe just give her like 50 bucks, just to show that I empathise. Like THISDRLOVE say's if you want to, just go for it.
