The box arrived last evening at 6PM here in Cabrera
It was COD - so they called the day before to assure my presence to pay

After 5:30, I called to ask the whereabouts....
With the other hand, the girl called the driver and asked him.

15 minutos I heard him say....
Sure enough - he honked at the gate in 15 minutes.
Same driver for years.....

Really good service and fast when you pick your times
This was 3 weeks ... incl New Years
It can be as low as 2 weeks

We use pronto envio from Philly, guys name is Javier and have been using him for years now. Super professional. He does pick up in the entire tri-state (philly, new jersey, delaware)- I think ti's like 60 bucks for a box, and 125 for a tanque.

Does anyone have a contact to ship a large heavy item (not large enough to get a container) from Jersey/PA/New York?
I usually use Awilda, but I am trying to get a few more quotes. It is a 2000 lb forklift battery on a pallet. I got a great deal on two, now I just need to figure out how to get it to the DR.

I use Imperial, located in North Bergen NJ 201-681-7564. Ask for Eddie.
His RD location is outside of Puerto Plata; convenient for us.

I just now asked Awilda (Jesus Parra) if they were operating

Yes - he said

So it appears mudanzas are good to go......

Been waiting on a couple of things from Awilda for quite some time now.....maybe 2 months. I have been patient thinking that they must be closed for now. Did they just start up?

Such a coincidence! At 8:00 a.m. I had a phone call from Santiago saying they were delivering one item tomorrow. And just now, a call from New York to say that next week I would receive my other items. I guess the ball is rolling.......

Expect delivery to be a bit slow

That truck normally gets on the road before 6am and gets back after 6pm

Must have just started back..... glad you're on the mend LK !!

They have been delivering whatever is in there warehouse in Santiago since April . We got a couple of boxes in mid-April that I had sent from NY at beginning of March. You should definitely call
Also as @william webster said they are operating from NY. I have a pick-up scheduled for tomorrow morning in Brooklyn

Yes, I did receive a delivery from them this week and received a phone call from New York saying that next week would receive another delivery. Thanks.

Their deliveries will be longer with the shortened works days.

That driver regularly returned to STI after 7-8pm
I am last in his drop off list most days.... it can be 5-6pm

and he started before 6am!

He delivered here first thing in the morning - 8:00 a.m.! Maybe they are changing the route for now.

Are FedEx, UPS, and DHL options or are they not cost feasible? Or are they even located in DR? Thanks.

What size and weight are you thinking about ??
A 55" TV and a computer desk sorry i don't know the depressions but it must weigh a little under 100 pounds, but i am guessing. I just don't see anyone talk about those carriers. Are they a viable option?
