That sounds like a "Let them eat cake" comment?I'd hazard to guess the millions of people who will have internet for the first time won't complain too much about the ping speed.
Yes. That happened to me, too. I just ordered my second Starlink. The new location of our learning center is one block up from the main road passing through Jamao. Claro came to connect the internet and told me that Claro did not have cable there!Ordered Starlink for delivery in Sajoma. Ran into the same problem others had previously with payment acceptance. Told to contact my bank for authorization. Switched from US Bank credit card to their debit card and it sailed through. Now I plan to go back in and use the "change payment method" to switch it back to CC for more protection.
can you tell me what you ordered? standard pkg? no extras. they deliver tl an address here .?Yes. That happened to me, too. I just ordered my second Starlink. Our non-profit did not want to pay the cost of Starlink, but we rely on internet for all our electronic record keeping, messaging, and our smartboard. So we bit the bullet. And now that it is installed, I could not be happier.
For the system and the extender and cables and whatever else he needed to do the installation, I paid 68,000 pesos. It came with 3 free months of service because the system was guaranteed for 3 month. After that, I pay 2,900 a month.
If a person does all of the work themselves, it's overpaying.I am not surprised. But that is okay. The guy gives me good service and comes to Jamao whenever there is an issue. Some things are worth paying more for, in my opinion.
Yeah, I got the email. That's quite a hike in one go. I can imagine it's going to piss off a lot of customers.FYI
Starlink just raised prices in the DR

From 2,900 per month to 3,400 per month regular/residential
The lite version stays in the 2,400 pesos per month
Users in DR received an email confirming the price increase.
