To all of Dominican Republic Complainers.
i am in london now and i could not be happier - we have snow!
it's cold, fresh and absolutely beautiful, just perfect. i do not think i want to see the credit card bill thou

I can stand a few days of cloudy-rainy here in Eden but I don't miss the cold. snow, ice , heating, gollocks!
I die below 20deg.
Enjoy suffering, I gave it up.
If I want cold I'll stick my head in the freezer.
When I was growing up in New England my father had about seven different shovels for different snow removal conditions. We had a heavy duty digging bar for chipping ice.
Like riding a bike the skills remain but I don't plan to use them any time soon.

I don't understnad all those complaints about Snow, Nice Cold Fresh Temps, sweet Snow Shoveling etc etc etc.

WE have it every Year again and again this Time of the Year,
even Here in the Caribbean.

every winter again Here in the Caribbean I watch on My Flatscreen out here on the Veranda the Vids of those Poor People Up North fighting Traffic in Snow, cleaning Walkways in Snow and all that Funny Movie Stuff, while I sit myself on that Veranda and have of course an other Eye on the Calm Waves of the Ocean below the Veranda.
I can watch them Shoveling for Hours, it is great Fun.
so where's the Problem You have with Snow??

I can't wait to come back. At the moment, I am freezing my "trasero" in atlanta. Its freezing temperatures all over the civilized world. I can't wait to come back to disorder. After living in DR for so many years, I think I have finally found order in the midst of all the disorder.
DV8, you can have all the cold in london, enjoy the tiny dark/cold houses and the snow + sleets and icy roads. I hope you enjoy the 4pm darkness that resembles 10pm in DR. I also enjoyed all this for the first few days, then the cold got to me and the 4pm darkness made me depressed. Now I am ready for some palm trees and sunshine.

Bad news for you, I just heard a new commercial on Monumental FM. A store located in Santiago is advertising they have in stock jackets, coats and everything you need for the Winter time.
People is freezing in DR with 20-C. degrees temperatures.

Global warming has finally arrived in the Caribbean.
The water is looking a little chilly for snorkeling this morning
Perhaps we will go shopping in Sosua instead!
I placed a couple boxes on the Iceberg as it was passing Florida.
Could someone take them off when they reach the DR and deliver them to Santiago for me?

I'm in Alberta and it is major cold here! In the heat of the day it got up to
-25c with the wind chill. One day this past month it got down to -37c. Now that sucks! 93 days till we move to DR and counting!!!! I will gladly give up every white Christmas to never shiver again!

Exactly my thought, I feel sorry for my children during the winter. I take then to the playground but I can't stand it after 1/2 hour and they come back with a runny nose. They both have the flue right now :bored:

You are right we are never satisfied I used to do that when living in DR...
Que maldito calor!!! nos vamos a quemar vivos, y estos jodio mosquitos no dejan dormir a uno...
My wife refresh my mind anytime I complain about the cold weather here.:ermm:
