If you mean any place else besides the north coast - yes. It was 56.30 at CaribeExpress on Friday in both Sosua and Cabarete.

Banco Central today 56.5. Count your lucky stars if you're getting more. It's rare for a cambio to pay more than Banco Central.

That's my receipt from today, the one mentioned above.
At this very same Cambio I get since many many years always more than the Banco Central official course,
even on a small exchange sum like the 1.000.-US today.
When exchanging bigger amounts of money the exchange rate is well above this.

I never doubted you but that's not the case here on the north coast or on any of the other exchange rate posts in this thread before. Most of the exchange rates posted in this thread are less than the BC rate. Post your exchange rate more often!

56.30 CaribeExpress Sosua yesterday. Still at "theft" levels. I thought CaribeExpress gave the same rate everywhere. Obviously not.

I got this week again 56.75 at Plaza de Brizas Bavaro.
With today's jump up of the dollar after a couple downward days I would expect close to 57 again, but today i am not on a exchange route, just right now with the house dragon at National Supermarket spending money fir the sunday bbq party, lol.

Yes, there is no comparable place in the PC/Bavaro/Cap Cana/Higuey Area.
I know the Man, "Mi Primo", since 30 years, his guys working there been still in Pampers then back in the day.
