I would translate 'saber de ti' as 'know how you are doing'

"Saber de " means "knowing about".
"Yo no se de eso" = "I don't know about that"

Don't try to read between lines, "Estoy bien y mejor ahora que se de ti" is a very typical response to the usual "Como estas?"

Exactly. This means I'm fine and feel better now, knowing that I've heard from you.
