Canada has been averaging a little over 200 cases/day lately so we aren't worthy of being included in any group that has the US and the DR.
Will that mean there will not be travel between Canada and the DR ? Are there any flights scheduled from Canada now in July or August ?

It means most Canadians will not want to travel anywhere right now that the virus is out of control. Not sure about scheduled flights as they don't seem to turn into actual flights very often.

Canada also has not tested anywhere near as many people as the U.S. Granted much smaller population but the more people you test the more positives (and negatives) you will find.

I don't think that the RD is in the same boat as the US if your comparing the virus

American Airlines is flying full planes with no more "social distancing". I understand Canadian airlines will do the same. I just spoke to someone who flew American domestically yesterday and the plane was indeed full:

American Airlines Group Inc. said it would sell flights to capacity starting July 1, abandoning caps on passenger loads that were designed to promote social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Kind of makes you wonder why all the social distancing, etc in the airports when you're going to sit shoulder to shoulder with the guy they just made you stand 6' away from. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for masks & social distancing, but these airlines make it a joke.

The only thing you can do is choose not to fly.

My wife showed me a picture of a political rally in POP yesterday. Shoulder to shoulder, nuts to butts, hundreds of people with no masks on. In the DR, go figure.

Strange that masks there were not being enforced. Friday night around 7:30pm they rounded up 15-20 people in La Cienaga for not wearing masks.

I heard the same about La Cienaga, but that was Friday and this was Sunday.
