Telecentro, Channel 13, is airing daily programs on the year 2000 and perspectives for the year 2001. Lissette Selman is hosting the show to which fellow news commentators and newspaper directors have been invited. The 8-10 pm shows began with a focus on politics yesterday. They continue today with a focus on the economy. A show on the judiciary is scheduled for Wednesday, another on health for Thursday and a final program on education for Friday. For tonight’s program on the economy, invited guests are: Ruddy González, director de Ultima Hora, Miguel Franjul, director of the Listín Diario; Víctor Tejeda, managing editor El Siglo; Luis Reyes, director of National Accounts of the Central Bank and Antonio Espín, president of the Herrera Industrial Association. For the program on the judiciary, representatives of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Attorney General’s Office, the College of Lawyers, the Commission of Human Rights have been invited. Also Ruddy González, Ultima Hora and Orlando Gil, Visión 27. For the program on health, the guests are Minister of Public Health Jose Rodriguez Soldevilla, the president of the Dominican Medical Association Víctor Díaz Alba; the director of the PROMESE public health program; the president of the Dominican Institute of Social Security, William Jana; and the president of the Dominican Social Security Association, Alma Bobadilla. Also Orlando Gil and Napoleón de la Cruz. To speak on education, the guests are Osvaldo Santana, executive editor of El Siglo; Ruddy González, Ultima Hora and Hector Tineo.
