The Ministry of Culture has authorized the installation of a Covid-19 drive-through at the National Theater on Av. Máximo Gómez, next to the Metro station, to facilitate people getting vaccines.
The “Autovacunate” facility is open 11 am to 7pm. Those who need a first dose and adolescents need to fill out a consent form and then get vaccinated. Those who need a second dose can pass directly to get vaccinated with ID and vaccination card in hand.
As reported, on average 160 persons per day have been using the service that is installed at the National Theater by the Mapfre Salud insurance company with the sponsorship of the Public Health Cabinet and the collaboration of staff of the Ministry of Culture.
The government has said a drive-through facility would be installed in Santiago. The virus is spreading the most in the northern provinces of Santiago, Puerto Plata, and Espaillat as of Bulletin #543.
