President-elect Hipólito Mejía announced in Caracas, Venezuela, that Maximo Aristy Caraballo is his choice for District Attorney. Aristy Caraballo is a PRD deputy (congressman) for La Altagracia province. Mejía had earlier announced that Virgilio Bello Rosa was his choice for Attorney General. Aristy Caraballo is a cousin of former La Altagracia senator, Amable Aristy Castro.
