Occidental finalizes purchase of Allegro Resorts

Occidental Hoteles finalized the purchase of Allegro Resorts. The Spanish hotel chain reportedly paid US$455.2 million for the 22 hotels (6,300 rooms) that Allegro operates in 10 countries. Driving time to Samaná to be halved

Senator for Samana Ramiro Espino announced that Ferrovial, a Spanish company, in association with an unnamed Dominican engineering firm, will build an expressway to Samaná.
