The guy's behavior could be an indication of 3 things:

1) Like many poeple have said, he could have an std.

2) He's dating somebody else and is cofused (ja!!!) about whether to cheat on that person or not. But on a positive note, he could just be confused about his feelings for you...but that's not really realistic, a guy would normally try to have sex with you even if he was confused.

3) He really likes you and wants to wait (when guy's really like a girl they do this to show you the intentions are good, he wants to have a long lasting relationship with you). Although there are some guys who use this excuse to get on your good side.

Do try to get some answers from him (but in a subtle way)

Thanks for all your replies. I do not get offended or warned off that easy as most thought I would. I am a realistic in everything I do. And I know probably one if not a couple of you are right in one of the answers, just not sure who? He is a very sincere guy, takes time out to just "spend time" with me..which like i said is not usual for men in general..lol.. SO thats a plus. I am not some overweight depressed female. I am actually only 130 with brown hair and green eyes, work a great job and very independent-so I doubt he is trying to picture britney..maybe her boyfriend though? lol. Nothing fishy about us nor I.. He is just taking things slower than most guys I have dated or hung out with and by no means am I complaining-Just wondering from a womans point of view why he is acting different than most. If he did have a g friend why not just say it? We are not officially dating so there would be no problem? And trust me if he is gay-he pulls the whole being straight off WELL!! He is never NOT affectionate towards me, treats me like a lady with respect and dignity.. Guess the whole phrase he said of "the reason I have not moved forward with you/us (sex) is b/c I have something kind of lingering I need to take care of"!! G/f or whatever-just thought some might have an insight? Again thanks guys/gals! :)

Sorry- Also he makes 3 times the amount of money I make a year so I dont think he is after anything I can give him b/c he has more than I? He just says to take things slow? Brings back gifts from DR last week also ie: braclet, cd, etc?? Most guys even if they have a g/f would still do the deed if offered? Dont know what to make of him but thanks guys!

Give him some viagra. I don't know how old he is but in my profession I hear many complaints from young men of either suffering from premature edjaculation or impotency. Believe it or not, there are tons of guys in their early 30's who suffer from sexual dysfunction. Many guys are simply impotent. Talk to him in confidence and get to know his real problem. Viagra can help.
Some guys are so afraid to be unable to satisfy a woman that they don't even try it.

There you go, thinking impotency is a thing of the older guys. Viagra is mostly consumed by younger guys. Older guys in the 50's can't pick up girls like the guys in younger ages. Ask a pharmacist who are the prime consumers of viagra? At least in DR, its the younger guys.
You don't have to be totally impotent to use viagra, think of it as sexual enhancement drug.
You may not believe this but there are many guys who are in their 20's and suffer from sexual dysfuntion (errection problems or premature edjaculation)

I gave it some deep thought after seeing this message earlier and it's even more of a mystery now. But keep on posting. You ought to consider journalism... one of those advice columns, kind of like Dear Abby, but x-rated and for men only.
