There are some of us who care about hurting a girl that you really care about, and it does not worth it to have sex with her just to satisfy your sex cravings when you really know that there is the big possibility that she might fall crazily in love with you but you know that you will never love her to the extend that she needs to be loved, and that is the problem with most Dominican men, when it comes to having sex his main priority is to satisfy the woman and he could care less if he is satisfied or not as long as she is good to go. Most Dominicans will not feel like a man if he is not able to satisfy a woman no matter what the circumstances may be whether it is a casual sex, in a long term relationship, or in a marriage.

If this is the case with this guy, he should come out and be straight with her and tell her how he really feels and not lead her on just because he is afraid he may hurt her feelings.

I am an American now living here in the DR. I have always stood on the principle that i do not have sex, I prefer to make love. I can not just have sex with someone. I have to have feelings for that person. It's easy to just get my rocks off but to enjoy making love is different. I may be opld fashion, but there is a big difference in the act when there are feelings involved.

Based on this thinking, I would probably guess that he is somewhat confused. Does he want commitment? Is he just getting over another? Did he have a relationship before that has him gun shy? Maybe he is confused about his feelings ofr you and wants to make love, rather than get his rocks off!

I am sure I will get lots of jokes about my beliefs, but they have always worked well for me. I am 54 and get hit on all day by 25-30 year olds. Yet, I need someone that is more than just a roll in the hay for me to bring them home!

Found the answer- sorry took so long to get back

Just so everyone is CLEAR- the guy and I at the time of my first post were just hanging out- getting to know one another yet in a way more than friends. He knew that I was open to more than friends thus the question as to WHY he wouldnt take me up on an offer most would not refuse. I had asked many times the problem and the answer was he was going through some things but was very much interested in me..lol yea my thoughts also!! I didnt stress it as most would say- dig more into it.. didnt stress it b/c it/he was no big deal as we were not together. I was patient and gave him time, did my own thing and went on with my day to day life, having a good time without him. Then he seemed to be getting closer and sticking around more, being more affectionate so it got me wondering. I said before anything was to happen i wanted to know what the deal was before- only two months prior.. Come to find out he was going through a "difficult divorce"..lol.. and didnt want to put me in the middle. ON one hand I would say thank you i appreciate you respecting me and not putting me in the middle of drama, yet the other side said hey why not just tell me? BUT then I find out if that wasnt his reason for waiting well to put it in a nice way- it wasnt the only one I could see the only reason I mention this (not to be a critisizing woman about mens size etc etc as most guys think women are) but to mention it b/c so many have said maybe thats the reason he waited, he was insecure!!
