With you I want to form something, but give me time to understand your English because you think very badly of me.

Good luck with this situation.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

It must be excruciating. You really have to learn the language or find a bilingual girl.

You are correct again, its excruciating.. Way back if you remember when i had the other Chica, "meet me at La bomba" .
In that thread you posted without understanding the language you will never be able to "make up after a fight"..
Now this wasn't a fight but it was something very bizarre, things got twisted..

Computer translators are finicky. Someone needs to invent a smart translator, like one that can correct spelling and grammar errors and understand nuances in the language. If either party does not write in very basic and simple language, i.e., no slang or makes any kind of error in spelling and grammar, the translation can do more harm than good. However, if you satisfy these stipulations, google translation is often right on target.

So True! I even have the Itranslate, which is slightly better, but even that I had a major error.. Example, " I am not seeing
another" she read as "I am seeing others" the "plural" did me in. 10 textos later she is still upset...

You need to dive in. No more google translation. No more asking of help to translate, but rather to learn. You're being a little lazy about it. Throw down your crutches and walk. You can do this. You seem to be intelligent and have the desire. Invest the time and effort and it will enhance the quality of your life.

I'm trying, but I am back home now. I need a clearer path, I have 3 books, a dictionary, a thesaurus, and hundreds of printed pages... I haven't been able to find an A to Z.. I think with language I am a slower learner.

It happens. We all have different propensities. And it can be overwhelming. There's no one magic pill. I'll be glad to help you in any way I can.

Tell me about being a slow learner when in comes to language, I'm a member of the same club. Where's home? Surely there are several native Spanish speakers in the area. I was lucky to have a friend from Mexico that help me immensely. I think she enjoyed helping me, and my wife and her became good friens.

Leave the books behind you will just get overwhelmed......two suggestions...one is a simple program for kindle....free called learn Spanish 24/7...it gives you words in different categories...you see the English and Spanish you go to the next step and its a multiple choice to pick the Spanish for the English word chosen......you can use different categories over and over, This will give you many of the basic words NEXT find yourself a child that speaks no English or very little....start talking...draw pictures and ask que es they will tell you with a smile...they do not care if you conjugate the verb correctly, they will understand and they will correct you! Works great for me...kids are brutally honest but with a smile and the correct answer...they love the fact that you do not know and they get to teach you! Simple drawing back and forth you will learn quickly and have a friend for life that will speak English with you while you speak Spanish

I took Spanish in high school and college, went to Berlitz, had a private tutor and took the rosetta stone and pimseleur online courses. I also visited a number of Latin American countries (including the DR numerous times), and I still can't get past basics. I can generally understand short written messages, i.e., email and I can write short messages, but I'm lost when it comes to conversational Spanish, particularly when spoken rapidly. When in Latin America, I always try to speak Spanish even if the other person speaks English (as a secondary language), but the words come out slowly and I need to put a lot of thought into it. I often get laughed at, though playfully. [it's appreciated that I at least tried.] I don't consider myself stupid ( well, too stupid). I think learning different languages is a combination of several factors.... the younger you are, the easier; immersing oneself where only Spanish is spoken; and the language DNA, yet to be discovered though I know it exists, haha. Conversing on online social media helps also.

Contango,
Your knot exactly deeling with a brane sergine. Her spelling is about the equivalent of my first sentence. Google translate won't help you with that mess.

what the hell happened to contanco we know and love? the man who was too stingy to spare 100 dollars for a chica who tossed his salad? the man who was immune to the charms of dominican ladies? now he became a shadow of his former self, exchanging messages with barely literate barrio rat?
