Pedro clisante isn't the same. And unless some hotels spring up overnight on the other end (doubtful), traffic there will drop to nothing.

As I've said, the shift to the other end of PC is chaotic and people will get tired and travel elsewhere.

And no one will care.

So there actually is a "change" that others claimed would never come. That was naive of them.

The most important point above is: " And no one will care."
Almost no one, but for all intents and purpose that is close enough to no one.

The second most important is "people will get tired and travel elsewhere". Some will care about that because it is the intended effect as long as those people are whore mongers.

Let's see what really happens over the next month. Some of the bars are fighting to re-open. I doubt that will happen, but as we all know, who's got the real money here will make the decisions along with Santo Domingo.

Money drives this. There is development happening...the developers want the change. The pockets have been lined, there is more promised to come. As long as the pockets are lined, this will continue. There is nothing more to this.

This is why the bars are being closed. They couldn't keep the noise down nor the obnoxious behavior off the sidewalks and streets.
Heck I even stopped eating at Baileys (now Bailees) because I preferred my breakfast without having to listen to a table of 6 New Yorkers talking about hittin' dat p*ssy all night long blah, blah.

Most were respectful and professional acting but a good percentage of the people coming off the economy flights from Boston and New York ruined it for the everyone.
May the obnoxious ones find another locale to act like fools.

Cook at home or throw on a pair of headphones. You shouldn't be ease dropping on others convo. This reminds me of black bike week or A&T homecoming, CIAA etc. Uppity people come and look at disgust at some of the hoodlums but don't see the bikers bonding some clubs are even strictly LEO or alumni having family ties tailgating and donating time / money. The outsiders always make the same dumb comments. Its sorta like a unspoken thing immerse yourself in it and see. Everywhere you go there is always 2 sets of people. What you dial into is what you see. Could you just sit back and be happy that the place your eating at is staying in business because people are spending money or you would rather it be closed with no other options than to cook at home?
One thing that I love about my people no matter how much hate or how bad some people make it we will continue to come. They tried to ban bike week, we still come in record numbers, close off traffic at certain events and we set up on sidewalks or get ubered off LOL. Thank god.
Im coming in march. A monger never dies.

You seriously think people should wear headphones to breakfast? Maybe they should then just text their own table mates ?
No it's public politeness not to broadcast at full volume cringe-worthy conversations that the entire restaurant can hear.
It's a symptom of immature and insecure travelers who act like they are a raiding party. And why do 40, 50 and 60 year old single men travel in groups of 6 or 8 and group together day and night ? Something is really odd about that behavior.
You can keep on mongering but learn basic manners before you return. You will find the town is a lot quieter and many of the Spandex Queens have gone back to their respective barrios and are no longer clogging the sidewalks. You may find you don't like the new changes.

Spot on! Could never understand grown men traveling in groups. Homosexual and beta tendencies all in one.

4 Guys renting a 4 bedroom Villa in a foreign country is now a beta and homosexual trait? You need a reality check or just not secure in your own masculinity . There is nothing beta going to a island to screw woman it would be beta to goto a island fall in love thinking she cares about you. Its called safety in numbers when traveling in groups. Im coming with 1 other person but would gladly accept more if my circle actually cared to travel to a island.

I just cant wrap my head around one group of people hating. I read all these comments and I cant find one thing black people are doing only the stereotypes are to be found that we are "loud". I didn't hear about being drunk in public, chasing underage girls, fighting, cursing. Chasing ass and talking about it is the only sin I can read about which makes me secure in knowing I will have a great time.

I can meet a stranger and usually connect with anyone. Just the other day I bought a car from a guy from argentina at a local ford dealership he was telling me how he has two passports just to travel to cuba to enjoy the woman on that island. I laughed at the stories he told. Im sure once in your life chico bill you was wild and had fun but now you want to impede of other liberties by what comes out their mouth?

I could care less about sosua in the long run im traveling for 21 days and visiting 5 major cities. I want to know which lifestyle and part of the island I enjoy and keep coming 2x a year. The more I read on sosua and talk about it the more I want to go and btw I never heard of sosua until Cuba Dave(I believe that's his name) but no one on here refers to him acting like a animal when he had a whole house wallpapered with all the woman he had sex with smh

You need a posse along with you for safety ? Your a real manly man aren't you ? I have traveled much of the world and never felt the need to bring a man or group of men with me.
I still have fun and, yes, enjoy women in the bedroom - I just choose not to broadcast that as some conquering exploit in a public place and I am discreet in whom I share a bed with, and it is not some girl hanging with a group on a sidewalk willing to take on any guy who waives 1,500 pesos in her face.

My guess is you won't like the changes, as it is not the same Sosua as last time you came, and by March, when you plan on returning, there probably won't be many available women for you to monger. But I hear Boca Chca is great that time of year.

Going to be a mess around this end of town now.
Used to be quite a nice residential area.

But it isn't, and it isn't the USA either. Suggesting that other people should wear headphones because of loud obnoxious behavior, at breakfast, is beyond the realm of normalcy.

^^ Exactly why the government did what they just did in Sosua ^^

Cuba Dave did not get kind words from those who were not mongers on this forum. Cuba Dave may have lit the fire that some in the USA saw, but the groups from my home state area are indeed the ones that fanned them until the DR "Fire Department" came in to do damage control, albeit probably too little and too late. This recent group of mongers did not discover Sosua by any stretch of the imagination. But they sure had an impact like nobody before.

Those that had come ("cum"?) for a generation before that did not garner such attention. Unless you were wearing noise cancelling headphones, you probably would still have been able to hear the previous nights exploits at breakfast. Others could view them on the Internet in gynecological exam detail. The DR government absolutely hated this type of publicity.

Do keep in mind that nobody on this forum is likely to have had any influence on what the DR government did. I am not against anything that two consenting adults wish to do with each other in private. What happened was because of what the whore mongers did recently and how the DR government in Santo Domingo stepped in and reacted to it. Nothing else. (Except for maybe some developers with money who want to save Sosua and got an excuse to do so. They would thank you for your support.)

Do you mean eavesdropping?

When I am eating breakfast, I am really not particularly interested in whether you "tore it out of the frame", or "got your salad tossed" last night, that is simply barbaric.

Manners, consideration for others and appropriate behavior when out in public - obviously something some single Moms neglected to teach their children.

Don't wish to be labelled as uncouth and a stereotypical cad, then behave yourself when among polite company. There is a time and a place for testosterone induced chest thumping and that place is not at the table of a public restaurant but rather back at your rented 4 bedroom villa over shots of Hennessy.

Raising children with manners has nothing to do with the mother being single or married.

hence the hard core culturally clash; chicas, mongers, residents and families. It would be difficult to find a breakfast joint in Sosua where the mongers are not congregating and socializing. The restaurant is not going to turn down their money, in fact some cater to them. By the same token if one is looking for high tea at a sophisticated boutique breakfast nook where you can discuss Chaucer's contribution to English literature maybe you should not be in Sosua central. Manners are important to me, I do not socialize with anyone who does not know how to handle their cutlery when dining, who is loud, uses their phone at the dinner table and is rude to others. Sosua is and will be a red light town, it will never be Bermuda or St Lucia. See ya
