For once I agree with Big on this one. I see the guys who come down for a weekend or a week spending a lot while they're in town. The older guys who have been living there for years tend to be very frugal.

Remember the days when the strip was packed with people, the bars were brimming and the restaurants were booming with customers. Remember the days when the beach was loaded....many of the beach bars ran out of seats. Remember the days where it was tough to get a hotel room if you did not book months ahead.

It was not that many years ago.

It’s definitely not the broke back jet blue crowd ..staying at 30 buck a nite room with buck a beer and Haitian 10s ..I’m sorry your love life s hurting it’s tough with covid..you will be chasing those grannies in no time buckaroo cheer up!
the only thing that is hurting is your economic prospects. That sir is your fault, you should have studied more in school and perhaps obtained a higher level of education.

Your a sex tourist, yes you love sosua, like all of the NYC crowd,The one thing Sosua has,is plenty of extras for a Tarzan movie, let me guess, you in line?
A few things are evident ; education is not your strong suit, most people that visit Sosua are sex tourists and your level of sophistication has left you embarrassed on many social occasions.

It's not very hard to figure out which bar is going to be shut down next. It is always the one with the most business so clearly Ahnvee is next on the list. Might be complicated because shutting down a hotel/bar will be tougher than shutting down a stand alone bar.
Bourbon street bar is seperate owners from hotel so if they are successful in shutting Bourbon Ahnvee will go eventually also from lack of business.. but then again Ahnvee has deep pockets ..

Yes they have, they have painted walls, with very nice paintings, removed lots of trash,is this advancing a forward program?

But, as your previous postings have asserted, you do not live within Sosua, but Jarabacoa.
I am asking those that live within, or are invested within.

Yep. Big sure is right. They support the 50,000 people that live in Sosua with just those that arrive on JetBue. They truly are Saviours with some biblical abilities. Miraculous, they are.

Nothing changed in 20 yrs handful of bars get mongering money ,doesn’t matter what name of place is it will change every few yrs expats and Europeans snowbirds don’t hang around same bars restaurant...the only thing I have in common is Bailees my kids like it...if it wasn’t for jolly Rogers ,elconde ,Bailees ..the stereotype of frugal goes both ways and goes with who you know and hang out with.. I don’t have issue with mongering crowd except the in your face attitude last few yrs which seems to have changed for now.. anyone here anything about Armando he is abnormally quiet!
Lots have changed. Several of the more well-known clubs/ bars are gone.
De Ja Vu, D'Latins, Lou's Shark Bar, CMP and Passions...done. City Lights
came and went too many times to count. Bailee's was still closed
as of my last visit in July and Britannia is gone as well. Many of the foreigners
who live in and around Sosua take issue with the "in your face" attitude...
myself included. Nothing wrong with having a little fun and letting off some
testosterone but please do it quietly.

Same thing that eventually happens to most beach towns that become popular...big money moves in.

What big money has moved into Sosua in the last 10 to 12 years? None that I can think of. There's some talk, but it hasn't really happened yet.

That's not what changed Pedro Clisante.

Sorry bro, not a tourist,I live in a town you have never heard of. I visit and enjoy Sosua for what it is. As far as "ignorance" I would say that describes the people that are angry at the "pay for play" that dominates Sosua proper. One misguided poster even brings his nuclear family into a hooker bar, truly bizarre.
