Where do you think most of the clients come from these days?Year ago it was Dominican girls, smartly dressed, many very attractive and mostly European and North American clients.
You forgot the part about....You wished a buck was still silver...........I think some above posts were spot on. The clientele and providers changed.
Year ago it was Dominican girls, smartly dressed, many very attractive and mostly European and North American clients.
Now it seems most of the providers are overweight, out of shape, most Haitian and poorly dressed and the partakers are older North East American men who travel in groups of 3 or more, many overweight & boisterous (if not loud), chomping on fat cigars and acting like they have discovered Shangri-La - and as a result most of the prior Johns gave up on Sosua as no more now than a seedy hooker strip.
Not saying it's really worse but the vibe and cast of the providers and partakers has morphed.
Could be it's like Merle Haggard asked "Are we rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell........"
It has everything to do with nationality and the way they look.Their behaviour is the problem.
Has absolutely nothing to do with
their nationality or the way they look.
You are a guest playboy.
So act like it.
There were no Youtube Videos in 2001 about the goings on in Sosua .. and definitely no Balling Videos open for the whole world to see, and then there was ONE guy with literally MILLIONS of Views who made a “ Documentary” about the Girls in Sosua . If you want to blame anyone , blame HIM and dudes like him..It has everything to do with nationality and the way they look.
I could tell stories of the goings on in Sosua and the beach 10 years or more ago...things the would make your jaw drop.
The demographics have changes but the boorishness has not. Remember, Sosua was referred to as the wild west...there is a reason it had(has) the nickname Sosewer when I first visited way back in 2001. (Remembering High Caribbean and Moby Dick)
High Caribbean was a pretty nice club back then and spandex hadn't yet become popular. It has everything to do with nationality and the way they look.

And cellulite wasn't considered a fashion statementHigh Caribbean was a pretty nice club back then and spandex hadn't yet become popular.
Great thing about High Caribbean was you could just go chill at the bars at the outside patio when you wanted to get away from the noise.High Caribbean was a pretty nice club back then and spandex hadn't yet become popular.
Most in my hotel are from NYC..........Where do you think most of the clients come from these days?
This is very true. But.There were no Youtube Videos in 2001 about the goings on in Sosua .. and definitely no Balling Videos open for the whole world to see, and then there was ONE guy with literally MILLIONS of Views who made a “ Documentary” about the Girls in Sosua . And lets not forget Morons like Cuba Dave as well of course ….its not about demographics , its about Stupidity .
Boring sounds better then lolThis is very true. But.
I remember back in the day a fella standing in the middle of PC peeing, he was not wearing a shirt or shoes, he was dragged off by the cops....I remember gentlemen having sex with girls right on the beach...it's only the tip of the iceberg of what was happening in Sosua back in the day. Not to mention the shootings right in the center of the action. The current Sosua is very tame towards what was happening...you might even say it is boring.

But that is not happening now. Those days are long gone.I remember those days.
Many locals were not happy with that behaviour then and many are not happy with it now.
No society is happy with a scene like that out in the open. But most countries/cities have it legal or illegal. Sosua is not a big city but a relatively big tourist area. I think tourism developed and the economy in general grew. Basically the establishments on Pedro C got priced out. So only natural to move the area. But that is not happening now. Those days are long gone.
Haven't lived in Charamicos since beginning of 2014 butBut that is not happening now. Those days are long gone.
All I know is, I started visiting in 2001, lived in Sosua from 2012 to 2016...over that time Sosua had become increasingly more boring and much less outrageous during those years.Haven't lived in Charamicos since beginning of 2014 but
I do spend time in Sosua as I have many friends both Dominican
and Gringos who live there. Not much has changed beyond the
obvious since I left and not that I care but I doubt people have stopped having
sex on the beach either.
