I , don't know how to apologize for being so wrong.

Our Patio furniture is gone. Our Solar system is gone. Street power is gone. Our generator crapped out. I'm on last battery. Maria was not this bad. And by looks, we are only half way through this.
That's ok. I still enjoyed the pretty foto of the little fishing boat and the nice blue skies.

Agree to me this is worse than Maria. I haven’t seen my beach house yet will go tomorrow but I was at the same house I was in when Maria hit and more damage here this time. Going to assume it will be bad at my beach house In GH...
Very strange. Here on the beach in Cabarete I thought Maria was much worse - a lot more damage at my condo. Some branches are broken off some of the trees, a lot of debris scattered around, but other than that - nothing big with Isaias.

7 minutes of rain in Santo Domingo and it suddenly stopped. We're back to the boring weather, only worse because those 2 seconds of rain was enough to cause a power outage.

I've been having a look at live webcams from different places in Dom Rep. Right now Santo Domingo Colonial Zone is a light breeze and it looks like the rain's stopped there. Bani is calm, no wind no rain. Only one cam operating in Las Terrenas and it looks like it's getting rougher there. Cabarete not quite as bad but still getting some heavy weather. Punta Cana again just a light breeze. Definitely seems that the north is getting the worst deal.

Wasn’t Maria like a Cat 3 hurricane ? And it was the one that hit Puerto Rico really bad
Maria hit us as a TS John. You must know PR takes a big hit no matter what. It was a hurricane in PR if I recall, but I lived in Cab and it hit as a TS. A 3 would have wiped us out. Don't be silly

I just found it hard to believe you didn't have a better idea of what happened here with Maria
Actually I wasn’t here. I had left before for Miami and then had to leave Miami and couldn’t fly back into the storm and went to visit a friend somewhere else in the US. I was getting reports of course mostly from SD and don’t think it was bad there and watched online how it went down in Las Terrenas and I think that was when they in Las Terrenas afterwards removed all the beach bars.

No electricity in POP since about 4 pm, half of neighbours flowers and other plants have been somewhat harvested (my wife secured all our flowers into a covered space), "looking forward" as heavy rains could potentially be ahead of us if I have interpreted the map correctly...
