This is what we have since already 3hrs now.
I have no idea why I installed a expensive system with a solar powered water pump to keep the plants around wet.
That must have been a sunday afternoon BBQ Beer idea of mine, lol.

Mike - do you have any thoughts or indications of how long those effected should expect the rains to last ?

Continuous rain overnight on Sunday night but only light rain on Monday in Sosua-Cabarete. It was quite hot during the day. Hopefully the rains are over

Doesn't Jarabacoa get hit whether the storms come from either side of the island ?
Rarely gets anything thing from the north or the west. There are enough mountains between Jarabacoa and anywhere else that usually whatever we get is usually diminished quite a bit. Usually, I say because Hurricane Georges did quite a number on this area, taking out bridges, roads, and houses, hydro plant and dam.... etc.

Full cloudy day again yesterday here , during the day some very short drizzles, the same last night.
Today again full dark cloudy skies, no rain so far didn't see real sunshine here since a good 2 weeks something.
On the maps it looks clearer, but not when i watch the sky with my eyes.
There is still good amounts of moisture lingering SW and SE of us, at least the heavy stuff from up N went dry now.
NHC expects the moisture SW of us to get organized and become a TD by the weekend.
That would not be important to us, BUT there are no steering currents, it would hang out there for some days, and that means a disturbed weather area of any kind, no matter it has a number or name, strong winds or not, will spread out the collected moisture, so that crap of clouds could continue to move over us.
I am just ready for some sunny days, too much of cloudy periods are not good for the soul,
while, of course, a few hours of good rain, spread out over 2-3 NIGHTS per week all year around, would be a perfect scenario for a Farm, lol.

Yeehaaa.
Since a felt Eternity this morning is since sun rise a Full Sunny Morning so far.
Only a few regular white clouds around and it looks like it may stay that way for the erst of the day.
Today is the day when I get my Batteries up to ca 3/4 charged, so tomorrow before mid morning I will be back on 100% power storage.
South of jamaica is wandering very slow AL99 Westward to end then hanging out in the Western Caribbeaan Sea over the coming weekend,
I hope it will not be able to damp my good sunny mood.
It is far away but moving very slow, so it will push out around clouds/moisture.
The is No Danger for DR from this one at any time, but actually every single cloud bothers, lol.

AL99/TD13 looks very good for us Islanders so far.
It is developing and moving Westward, so it will be the Mexicans (no pun intended, but mostly this is luckily for DR the case) who get the pun.
We should be out of this one.
Sure we continue to get our clouds and isolated by areas sporadic rainfalls, the usual winter weather we always have every yaer here on the Island,
our caribbean winter weather with more clouds/waves/windsrain-shine changes compared to our waaaay dryer and calmer summer months.
All looks fine, we have plenty of sunny days ahead of us with the ocassional rainy minutes mixing in.

Yesterday was a perefct sunny day without a drop of rain nor any rain cloud near at my place in PC.
When I drove down to Bavaro after 2PM, for about 5KM on the Highway around Veron it rained very hard, came out of nowhere, as the roads to there been completely bone dry and the rest of the way also bone dry roads.
Today is back to shi.tty day, it is dark cloud skies, now by 9:30AM still no sun really out.
And those darn clouds do not move not even a little bit, zero wind to feel.
As for storms:
TD19 is moving quickly towards Central America/Western Caribbean Sea, it never was and never will be any threat for us in DR.
Time for a ride to Safacon City/Higuey to get a truck load food for the cattle.
Hopefully for this weekend we will get some pure sunny days.
