Yes.

Check it out on . . .

. . . Wikipedia.

You are saying that Sabaneta is part of Sosua? which would also include Cabarete. If that is the case, then you should talk to your higher ups and tell them this news as they should include Cabarete in the hour regulation.

Exactly, so take the badge away due to a lay-off once they don't need as much police presence in town, then they don't have as much $$, and add to the problem once unemployed as they become fulltime thieves.

If I understand what you are saying, wouldn't it make sense to give the criminals jobs with the police in an effort to reduce crime? If that doesn't work, maybe throwing the criminals in jail might be a last resort.

Wow, I never knew that place was so expensive.

WOW! For $6,000USD per month...... If I have kids, I'm going to Orlando

ramesses, aname4me, . . . Stop trying so hard . . .

Their daypass is $400 pesos adults, $150 pesos children
Entrance to the pools, park, recreation areas, etc.

WIth Lunch $650 pesos adults, $450 pesos children

MONTHLY admission to park, recreation areas, pool

$1,650 pesos adults, $900 pesos children.

That's $20 U.S.dollars per MONTH per child.

On the weekends it can be quite busy, with DOMINICANS.

Many who live in, wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . . SOSUA.

You know, Sos?a. Soon to be a crime ridden ghost town filled with unemployed Pedro Clisante workers marauding through the streets.

And all because X number of wore-mongers are no longer welcomed, while nobody seems to have any idea what X is.

Nope, you are correct NY, soon, Sosua will be a town littered with class and grace. A town where the nouveau riche and Aristocrats will abound, nothing but Ladies adorning strings of pearls, parasols and gowns, as they exit their Porsche's, escorted by fine gentlemen, resembling something from a Givenchy advertisment, I can't wait for that day.

Sabaneta????So you are saying Cabarete is part of Sosua???

Yes.

Check it out on . . .

What didn't you understand in my first reply?

YES, SABANETA AND CABARETE ARE PART OF SOSUA.

They are both municipal districts of Sos?a.

Some specifics I posted elsewhere.

The actual municipality of Sos?a starts in the west at the border of Sabaneta de Cangrejo (better know just as Cangrejo) and extends all the way east to the border of Sabenta de Yasica and Veragua. To the north, obviously to the Atlantic Ocean and to the south to Los Zancones and ultimately Arroyo Llano which alone is 12 kilometers south of Madre Vieja which is pretty far from the coast.

A total population of approximately 60,000 and land size of approximately 107 square miles (277 sq. km.)

The delineation between Sos?a and Cabarete are actually the borders of the Municipal District of Sos?a and the borders of the Municipal District of Cabarete, which are BOTH much smaller than the entire municipality of Sos?a.

The municipal district of Sos?a (or what is commonly known as Sos?a) starts about two kilometers west of Los Charamicos in the west and runs east to about one half a kilometer east of Pearla Marina. To the north up to the Atlantic Ocean and to the South more or less about 6- 8 km in a broken line.

The municipal district of Cabarete starts in the west about one and one half kilometers west of the Coconut Palms Resort to approximately one kilometer east of the Cabarete police station, and north to the Atlantic Ocean and South in a broken line which runs approximately two kilometers south parallel to the coast line.

If anyone want's to see for themselves the EXACT delineation, it is available in the ayuntamiento office in Sos?a on the second floor. Very clear and easy to see. Also go to GOOGLE MAPS and enter Sosua or Cabarete and it has the EXACT delineation of the municipal districts although I have not found the exact borders of the complete municipality there, but they are in the ayuntamiento office.

The borders are clearly defined and easy to reference at the ayuntamiento office in Sos?a .

I don't work for the Dominican government, so my higher ups can not make policy here. I do work WITH the Dominican government at times. I have stated to whomever will listen, in no uncertain terms, that the change of operating hours in Sos?a is accomplishing nothing but a loss of revenue for some of the business on Pedro Clisante and possible civil disorder by some owners and employees. Many of those government "officials" do no like to be second guessed, especially by a gringo, so it's usually not well received. Unfortunately I can't blame them.

It's starting to get a little tired.

It's been almost three months since the government action.

Rancho Tipico re-opened in City Lights and is very crowded EVERY NIGHT.

Chez Monreal remodeled more as a restaurant, is re-opened and looks great.

Willy is busy renovating "D'Latin Drink" soon to be a restaurant and open again.

Rumba is remodeling and to reopen as a restaurant.

Bourbon Street Grill is still packed every night since almost day one of their opening in February.

Off Pedro Clisante "Ottimo" Italian restaurant opened last week and looks beautiful and got a good tripadvisor review from a prominent dr1 member.

Kalinka's Lounge opened across the street from the casino.

Perhaps, just perhaps the rumors of Sos?a's imminent demise are greatly exaggerated.

I certainly hope that's the case, but from what I've seen posted here, it seems like the imminent demise of the putas and mongers has also been greatly exaggerated(?).

About 70% of tourists come to Sosua for the trade. That's my guess based on what I see and know. If you did a market survey, which is only based on 1% of the market which in this case is tourists, it would probably be a much higher percentage. The actual number is impossible to know, but is quite high.

For a Family of two Adult and two Children
-DayPass $25
-Lunch (tip+tax) $60
-Taxi (return) $30

$115USD for a Swim, a Slide, and Lunch

I do think you need to market this.

I am sure there are some older single adults with a young friend that could go out there for the day (using a motoconcho) for $45

I believe they call these people ?Mongers with Chicas?.

have gathered soooo much attention? As the world turns...:cheeky:

All of this was a bit confusing, but I stumbled across this link to a map that helped clear it up.
