Without the testing. Here's an idea. There's many vacant rooms on these properties. Have the staff live there temporarily which will reduce the chances of infection. It would kind of be like the NBA bubble.

that video has been circulating for a few weeks nowUnion Medica Santiago, beyond capacity for COVID-19 cases.
Not for the owners of hotels, airbnbs and any rental real estate in Cabarete and Sosua.Curfews won't affect the AI's and that's where most of the tourist revenue comes from. Tourist revenue in Cabarete and Sosua is a drop in the bucket.
Johneyboy, anyway you can hop off my junk🤣 I mean I am flattered that you comment negatively on every post I make but probably a good time...to hop off. Your legs are prolly numb by now😂There are a lot worse places to be in the world right now and you still need to wear all the protection. I can be walking the beach of the Caribbean Sea or I can be in a urban city. I can play golf with no one else on the course or be shut out of golf altogether. I can go on but why waste my time with your sense of humor. Have a good day.
It depends on the owner and if employees are on suspension. Suspension is a legal term here which actually protects employee rights which are very strong in the DR.Are the staff getting paid now at the resorts are closed?
Of course it will be bad for them. I really for sorry for them. Kahuna Bar has already closed permanently. I don't know how the others can possibly make it(?).Not for the owners of hotels, airbnbs and any rental real estate in Cabarete and Sosua.
Save your powder. A watershed of BK properties and desperate sellers is on the near horizon depending on what you are looking for.
Those graphs are meaningless. The DR is in deep trouble.Huge drop in the amount of cases yesterday!
A friend of mine just flew in 5 days ago. Can't emember if it was STI or POP, but no covid test. Just fill out a health form.Has anybody evidence of this happeing?

For those not aware, large amounts of AI employees already "reside" in out of sight lodgings during their 15 day shifts, followed by 3 days "off" where they return to their proper homes, only to return for the next 15 day cycle.
Life is as such for most AI employees.
The populaly Dominican singer Víctor Víctor is the latest victim of Covid-19.

What im saying is that the employees should be covid tested and stay on the resort for the 45 day SOE period. Almost like cruise workers. If you really want to create a safe environment for tourists during the SOE they should never leave the resort. It would be tough but these foreign companies should compensate them for their sacrifices. It would still be far less than any american wage they pay.
Right Caonabo. I think I know what you are saying here. That is part of my concern with going to the Playa I was planning to go to anytime soon. I call them the “freedom fighters”.Who is protecting the employees from the tourists who are rotating in or out? Never mind the AI's, there are a few foreigners residing within the "Everything ________" communities who I have no interest in sharing space with.
