nice to hear it's calm up there, too.

Noap, in reality not a week of Greenies down here for me, even that I really Love those cold Sweeties,
but after some Days of a could/half Flu I am honestly tonight/since a few minutes tasting a Red Wine and it still does not Taste the Way it should be, so I guess before Bedtime it will be an other Tea with a couple Anti-Flu-des.
but I sure will give a 2nd glass of Wine a try firstly,
maybe it was just the wrong glass on the first try, he he.

TS Don is actually shown as just moving 10-12 mphrs forward, such would reshedule it's Landfall on the estimated S-Central Texan Coast for many hours and give enough Time to pass TS Forces and become a weak Cat1, still not a prob for the Destin, He give's plenty of warning Time compared to the so often in the bay of Campeche Uppopping Formations with very little forewarning Time before Landfalls.

I hope by morning the storm disappearss and you feel better. Perhaps a bit of Captain Morgan in the hot tea before bed ? works better than flu crap meds.
Cheers , flu is no fun

by the passed track of the last hours it looks like it slows down it's forward speed, less than 8mphr I would estimate.
I can't see the Reason,
a slow down can grow it, but it may also be due struggling with unfavorable conditions such as Hiogher windshear fighting it off.
the morning hours will show how it comes out of the NightRun.
BBQ of the Interiors of my Freezer do not sound as anything bad to Me, lol.

how did the BBQ go?
, lol.

here on the East we are from early on running a perfect Sunny Beachmorning.
by 8:30AM today the Temps been already on 29.5C, Humidity already on 75%,
Wind is a Calm Low Nothing,
Ocean is completelt Flat on the Inshore, not over 3ft offshore,
simplemente Paraiso.

Tropical Storm Don did not change anything since the last Update around 3AM last Night,
so He is not struggling under anything, He just slowed down to be in the better Condition to gain some more Powers.
Landfall can be awaited around the SW'ern End of the Texan Gulf Coast in around 4o-45hrs from Now.
He is gaining Powers slowly, but the still to run 2 more days and nights over the Hot Surface of the Gulf will give Him some more Miles of Windpower, he should be finally at Landfall a strong tropical Storm on the edge to reach Hurricane Status.

nothing bad in Vicinity of our Lil Sunny Isle so far,
looks good for this coming Father's Day Weekend, get da baits and Beers ready.
We will grill a whole Wild Pork on Sat Night to bring with Us on Our Father's Day Fishing on Sunday morning,
sure the Fridges and additional Coolers on Board will be very well stocked and ready for Rock'n'Roll.
I don't think there will be a Weather Update from Saturday Night til Monday morning,
but those Stormies would anyways not dare to bother a Father's Day Blue Marlin Hunt.

Cheers from early Sunny Skies

Looks like TS Don will hit Texas early Saturday morning with estimated winds of 60mph....the only saving grace of this storm will be the desperately needed rain there, however they are saying it could cause flooding in the inland areas...Texas just can't catch a break...

~Keep us posted Mike~ Hope your wine helped your cold....:)

Juan Dolio~~ Just had a pretty heavy rainfall for the past hour, some pretty strong thunder, too. ((Of course, I did *enjoy* watching two men coating the roof of the apartment bldg across the way in the downpour while it thundered, too ....crazy!!!))

Chuck ,
a half sober Eye would be a Upgrade, usually we do not pay that much Attention on da weather, as it is here very most Time of the Year simply suitable, he he.
the wine did not help with the Cold, it's still there, the wine isn't of course, lol.

TS Don been speeding up again today on forward powers,
so actually a early morning Landfall for Texas is to expect, nothing of anything special, just bring the Cattle in before hitting da bed on Friday eve and for 2nd Breakfast Sat morning it may be a bit wet on the Floor but all will be Fine.

He is running right now just on 40Knots/45mphrs, 10-15mphrs more when reaching it's Destin should be the Max.

Today we Moved from the ole Fisherplace to the New Fisherbackyard,
as before just a 20 Meters from the Beach, but sitting here right now on the new Veranda(Yes, of course I left the Moving to the Mrs supervising the Boys and Gals to get everything to the new Place while I fought the Cold with my Crew and some Greenies, as the Wine last Night did not help anything, but been tasty at least, jejeje), I realize that the palm Tree Jungle does Cut off almost all of my Prior Oceanview, I Wanna See da darn Water Clearly!!!
so on Monday the Gardeners will be announced Treecutters to Fix da lil Optical misbehavior.

here on the East we had today an other stunning Beach Day,
there is quiet some mositure still moving in from the East and SouthEast, but nothing special, it will be a hit and miss by isolated Araes for the next Days, the overall will be just Hot Sunny and Humid Beachdays.

all in all, not so bad, with or without a cold.

cheers

Thanks! I could not believe it was pouring down rain and one guy had a bucket throwing the sealent onto the angled roof and the other guy in a raincoat was spreading it with a broom...while the sky was thundering!
Just had another 15 minutes of heavy downpour! But I can see some blue out over the ocean peaking thru the clouds...

here right now finished a 5-6 minutes lil Rain, but no biggy, we will have some of them during the next Days on the east, but no biggie, they are short whiled and restricted to small Areas, it rains down here for some minutes while the neighbour a few hundred yards aside is sitting in Hids Beach Chair to get a unbothered Tan.
no Thunder or such around here.
working on a Roof under Thunder and Lightning,
menas they are very Brave or completely Stup$d,
and I don't get we are talking about the Bravest of the 'Hood, lol

no ZickZack,
when large Shady/Cloudy/Rainy Areas are present out there we prefer to fish in their Shaddow/Tail for a while, such Rain prepares the Sea Surface fresh, lots of Baitfish around and so are the big predators we are looking for.
the Advantage offshore is that You can see the Rain/Clouds on the radar and also from far away with Your Eyes, so You can plan Your maneuvers on Time and stay out the whole day sometimes without catching much or any Rain above yourself.

none of 'em,
it is the darnFlu and we have it as a whole Family, darn cold caribbean, lol.

Don been speeding up more on Forward Speed, so kmore likely befor Midnight on Friday the date with texas will be.
He did not gain much Forces, yet, running a max of 50mphrs.

and we have the next Invest on the Screens, 91L, and it is located on Our Highway.
it is a quiet large Tropical Wave, still no Spin on as it's location below 10"N is still too close to the Equator for such, but it will move NW'erly where such will be favored then.
from that Birthplace a Run towards the Middle of the Antilles is a very likely Tracking.

all nice calm over here on the East now, looks great for Fishing tomorow.

'nite

Mike
