Horrific thunder and lightening here in Jarabacoa for about two hours and hard rains. Temperature dropped about 20 degrees.

I got my fireplace turned on (electrical heat) in NJ that is.;) And I just ate a bowl of homemade
chicken noodle soup for lunch.:lick: Just relaxing with a full stomach.:classic:

it's finally colder. not that i feel any better because now the cats want to sleep on the bed and they radiate heat.

i would not mind but the fatso comes in from the garden, laboriously wipes all the water off his fur rubbing himself in my legs and then settles down right on front of my face.

at the storm last night.... 10:30 or so....

the dogs jumped the gate and pounded onto my bed.....
more than 200lbs of dog..(3 of'em)

jolted me out of a nice sleep

then farted all night......

there's a song about that....

3 Dog Night...... old saying about cold nights

dv8 has 3 cat Nights.... hahaha

and now they are complaining about it being cold ...............ive got socks on , slippers on , three duvets blah blah.....people like to pretend they have acclimatized

Haven't used my A/C for two nights in a row! Crazy...

How much rain have we gotten in Sosua the last two days??? My pool started over flowing yesterday, the day after I spent hours cleaning it of course

I still have a tad too much insulation around the midsection for me to be truly cold, but I did pull out a fleece hoodie to give the wife a chuckle and to stave off some of the breezes that were more like gusts yesterday evening and this morning.

The rain aside, the dip in temperature is a welcome respite.

sideways rain here this AM... not 'gusts'

my overhang is 12ft...... rain pelted the windows underneath that.... chairs blew over

sideways !!!!

life in the tropics Cdn...... can be fierce at times

No it is not hot!

At one time, I worked in a primary steel making shop (aka Open Hearth).
When it is 90 outside is 160 or more in the shop.
In addition I put on three layers of wool just to keep cool.
I am just as uncomfortable as everyone else. It just not as hot as I have experienced

In winter, I actually had droplets of persperation freeze on on my arm.

It might be hot but it could be worse.
