he Sinovac seems to have been quite effective against the DSelta variant... the mRNA vex, not so much.

Here's the latest that was sent to me -

You got to love it. I don't think any of the so called experts have a clue as to what is going on. Open the world up and let the virus run rampant. Those who are vaccinated shouldn't have much to worry about.

Those that are not should be bothered as they probably still think it's all a hoax. I'm sure their beliefs will get them through it.

He'll maybe the covid will turn on itself and be self eliminating. Then we would all be correct and safe.

My daughter-in-law is a critical care (ICU) doctor for a well known hospital. They have patients in the hallways. Five upgraded to ICU today. Most are vaccinated but none (so far) had their booster. The positive cases are ballooning.

I hope your daughter-in-law stays well. Is she a doctor in the DR or elsewhere?

Since 2 shots of Sinovac provided virtually no protection from Omicron it makes perfect sense that at third shot of Sinovac would protect at 94%,

Said no one ever outside of Kuala Lumpur.

But we must trust the facts from the Chinese manufacturer of Sinovac and the Lumpurians. Does that 94% fade to naught in 1, 2 or 6 months after the third Si No Vac? We really need to know!!!

Half the world has used a non-mRNA vaccine...... seemed to work well against Delta
We;ll see how both vax do against Omicron..... bit early yet - my example was a small sample base

Sinovac is prevalent where the study was done - obviously!

If you read the news from Africa you will see that this new variant is nothing more that a nasty cold. The world / media is once again overacting and fear mongering. I have my 2 shots of sinovac, got the virus in July. My shots end there for the time being.

Fear is all these elected chimps have left.
They can't lead and their socialist dreams are collapsing the world economy.
But Omicron is nothing. As elections approach there will be a new and more feared variant to emerge, which will require the strictest measures yet to come to "protect us".
As a side note I plan on liquidating all my stock portfolio Monday, at a significant loss for this year, because DeezNuts are going to cause a contraction to all of our wealth - Bet on that.

If by chance any one of the available vaccines works against the new variant just think how devastating that will be to the over the counter cold and flu medicine makers. It will cost them billions annually.

And for that reason I can't see a lot of effort going into this one. Other than media and government hype.

Where is the “well known hospital”? NYC?, NY Presbyterian, Mt Sinai?, Lenox Hill? , St Luke’s? MMSK?, Montefiore?

Just like one persons idea of a terrorist could be another persons idea of a patriot so too could one persons idea of "fear mongering" be construed as "prudent planning." From what i've read Omicron will infect more or less the whole world, regardless of vaccination status, and is looking like it spreads like wildfire....... even if it is less "deadly" than Delta some basic math should raise eyebrows as to what may be coming down the road. Some food for thought from Dr. John Campbell who has been on the television the last couple of days.
