Simply the truth. You have some serious mental health issues. I am kind in comparison to what my wife would say.
But some of those thoughts are sometimes best kept to yourself. Can be rather offending to some.

I live near Sosua. I have played gigs, many of them, on the street when it was closed (before some numbnuts business put a stop to that good thing) , and in places on the west end of Pedro Clisante like the Jolly Roger, Brittania and the bar across from Brittania when owned by the former owners of Brittania back in the day.

There were few issues back then with prostituion until what some call Muppets started posting their sexploits on line, coming down on what people now refer to as "Jet BLK" as if it was something to be proud of to pay for sex and should be shown to everyone how great they were for doing so. That is when the government took notice and tried to take action which didn't work well at all as everyone can attest. Perhaps if Willy throws enough money, that situation will head east and those in Santo Domingo will give him a pat on the back.

I call it what it is, while you call males that pay for sex "gentlemen" That is comical. My mother is no longer alive or I would ask her what she would call them.

And once again, I could care less how those people conduct business. I never cared and I never will. (My wife on the other hand...)
It is the government that cares and they still do.

The bad reputation of Sosua and Boca Chica costs the DR money and makes it hard for people to invest in Sosua.
You are angry, too bad for you. You play "gigs" as a businessman I am not really sure what that means, I guess it has something to do with live performances as you mentioned a "tip jar" in previous posts. Why don't you put up a sign using your favorite words, no "whore" and "whore mongers" and see if you get any tips. Your concern with how other people live and enjoy themselves is all telling.

Underprivileged? Maybe, but most prefer to work on their knees or backsides than hold down a real 9-5 type job. Quicker money for less effort.
more anger! Many work menial jobs and supplement their income to support a family. Too bad it bothers you.

Too bad for them. Truth hurts. I happen to know a number of sex workers in several different countries. Several are really nice people, but they have self-esteem issues. My oldest son's girlfriend was an escort for several years. It paid for her education. Not sure where this more anger comment comes from? Must be guilt or something.

Oh..., Now you have personal friendships with sex workers all over the globe,, lol unreal, lol. Do you ask them about working on their knees and backsides? It is no secret that most are not as fortunate as others and lack education. I guess it makes some feel better to belittle them.

So several countries becomes all over the globe? Lots of university beeper girls when I was going to post-secondary school. I guess you justify using them as helping a poor uneducated girl out.

well Mr Bob, I am unsure what a "University beeper girl" is, but it sounds erotic. Be well and good night.

I think it's an amazing idea for Sosua. A red light district. Very original.
Yes, I think I have been hearing about this 'solution' since about 2009 now or maybe even from when Leonel took over from Papa......
If they really want to take advantage of the beach (the only thing Sosua has that is attractive for regular tourists) they will need to basically raze the whole Pero Clisante section and the streets around it and build a complete new tourist town with real accommodations and maybe some things for tourists to do, except visiting the beach?
The reality is there is f all to do for regular tourists in Sosua, even if there were no street walkers at all and 90% of the accommodations are sub-par for regular tourists.
Until then this conversation will still be going on in another 15 years.

I haven't been in almost 20 years. But hasn't Bávaro taken over. I have not been to the Bávaro-Punta Cana area in over 10 years apart from the airport area but it looked like especially the Bavaro area was an emerging unofficial red light district. Or around Friusa.

All of DR is red light district Sosua is small part of it , unfortunately sosua was highlighted by new breed of YouTube posters that cast a bad light on DR in government eyes and now they are handling it more strong armed then anywhere else in country because of it..there has been a big decline from 15 yrs ago in Sosua blame government or mongering shift in where they going! Economic wise Sosua is going great construction everywhere places are selling new breed moving in . The only ones in decline are the ones on small square block that depend on party n play crowd proof is most are up for sale because writing is on the wall demographic’s are changing like it or not.
