Nothing better than a big plato del pavo followed by Viernes Negro shopping the next day! :)

It might be an official day here but try and find a restaurant that can cook a real Thanksgiving Day Turkey meal with all the trimmings. Once Rocky's retired I have not seen one that can come close.......
Serenade restaurant in Cabarete has a great thanksgiving spread.

PriceSmart has pumpkin pies. And they are quite good. I wanted to make a pecan pie but could not find pecans in Santiago or Sosua.

They're in two places in SC BRAVO: The little ones are in the back near the bakery, and the large ones are in the chiller section near the butter. YMMV.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching. For those here on the North Coast, I will be serving a nice Homemade Thanksgiving dinner at the Finish Line Bar in Sosua on Calle Ayuntamiento. Cost $900 RD per. Serving from 2 pm till 5 pm. Dinner includes:

Roast Turkey with Gravy
Whipped Potato
Grandma's Sausage Stuffing
Sliced Carrots
Steakhouse Creamed Spinach
Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce

Hope to see you there!

Yup. DR1 Thanksgiving at Rocky's was so much fun those first years. I've looked for canned pumpkin, (found it one year) and jellied cranberry sauce often and no luck.
