The future of Sosua

After the election,we drove to Barahona with family,to busy playing with the Grand kids.
There's a lot more in the works then just those two projects. Pedro Clisante will not return to it's old ways just because some "like" it the way it was.
Change is difficult for some.
could you please expound on "change" as we have heard this before. Like the report of complete transformation of the town when the cruise ship port opened in Puerta Plata. Are you simple saying less chicas, less motos and that is the "change' or are you suggesting something more grand?
If the "glory days" were the lawless one's with
the "anything goes" rules then I would have to
agree, they are behind us. However I still think
Sosua bay is one of the best beaches open to
the public anywhere on this planet. The town
still has a ton of potential to clean up to get it's
act together. Nothing wrong with being civilized.
I'm sure somebody on DR1 said the port would transform Sosua. But that's just armchair quarterbacks running at the mouth. It doesn't really mean anything. They were however starting to do some trips to Sosua Beach with cruisers. I'm sure there are excursions to other more local venues. LIke Ocean World. And the port helps the North Coast in general - exposure is always good.
The guys and girls will eventually be totally pushed down to the other end of town. That was the whole reason for spending money on putting the police station there. As we all know, things move slower in the DR. They don't run tight schedules like we do in NA, but in the end they can still get things done. It just takes a little longer. The guy/girl action on that end of town will be a shell of it's former self. So yes, downtown Sosua will look nothing like the "glory days". You might see a stray chica once in awhile, but that's it.
As projects start to come out of the ground, I believe it will facilitate some infrastructure improvement. The beach project alone will force some infrastructure improvements in regards to sewage. Possibly some road widening coming into Charimicos. That would be nice considering the increased traffic from POP.

She is from a well known generational family right here in Sosua. And I look the part of Dominican, speak spanish fluently and therefore have mostly avoided the dreaded Ohio gringo surcharge tax.
There is no Ritz nor W property in Sosua as it pertains to this particular thread. That would be Cabarete for the Ritz Carlton Reserve and the W, pending the ending of the Covidic period and if construction is done.
Sosua would be The Marriott Beach Club. Already there, as I understand it.
Unless of course you are talking about the entire Municipio of Sosua...
So what is the construction progress like for the W and the Ritz? Are they under construction?
As far and I know and my info is dated, the W had the land cleared and some road work and clearing was done for the Ritz Carlton Reserve and then some environmental people protested.. Others who are getting out and might know more about the current situations. That is about Cabarete, unless of course we are talking about the Municipio of Sosua....

. which is that you are in fact married to a Dominican woman, know whats what, and you are hardly a TOURIST with a Flower shirt and flip flops, getting ripped off buying cheap Chinese made garbage trinkets on the way to the beach , or just off the Cruise ship for a day in Sosua with the kiddies ..being overcharged at every turn even for a Beach Umbrella..
(which is supposedly the demographic the powers that be are trying to attract to Lovely Sosua, the " family destination " )
