The Dominican Republic’s tourism sector needs a national plan that will allow it to develop in the both the short and the long term. Pedro Garrido, executive director of the Asociación Nacional de Hoteles y Restaurantes (ASONAHORES), suggested that the plan should be part of an agreement between the government and the private sector.
