According to Mrs. Vilma Arbaje de Contreras, executive director of Caribbean Export, the Dominican Republic has not exploited its commercial potential with the rest of the Caribbean countries. The DR has good export prospects for fruit pulp and artisans’ products, but its future will depend on decisions made by the private sector.
