Where do you get that from? The Haitian government HAS given condolences: https://dominicantoday.com/dr/local/2025/04/10/haiti-expresses-solidarity-with-dominican-republic/

    The reversed peso depreciation trend

It's not such bad news for me. Many months ago I started a Certificate in pesos because of the high interest offered, but the rate of exchange meant that in dollar terms it became worth less than when I started. The lower peso rate makes it much better!

I can't see in the article whether you still have to return to your country of origin to start this process. Does anyone know?

Dominican Republic Hit With 10% Tariff Today By US

NEW: "Ministry of Speed Bumbs" (Ministerio de Reductores de Velocidad)

    The DR's Shameful Complicity

I did give you an example. My example was that guns are much more difficult to obtain in the UK/EU than the US and thus they cause fewer problems. If it were more difficult to obtain guns in Haiti, they would be used less - right? Not comparing Haiti with Europe at all just trying to...

    The DR's Shameful Complicity

I never believe in "executions" but certainly they should be very severely punished. Really, Mr Windeguy, you are a terrible pessimist (you will reply that you are a realist, as usual). In my view, if the authorities must do everything they can to at least reduce the number of arms entering...
